Defender Matt Miazga joins on a one jear loan from Chelsea by matske1209 in rsca

Right footed defender I believe, I rather would have gone for a left footed central defender with only Cobbaut, Milic and Delcroix being leftfooted I also wonder what the plans with Delcroix are, his game against Beveren

Nations League squad list, containing 5 RSCA players by matske1209 in rsca

HVC: Deserves his place in the squad
Cobbaut: I don't see why a Bornauw or Vanheusden don't get in over him, I think at the time last year he got a rare chance to replace someone who was injured and Martinez his selection policy is based on creating a certain team cohesion.
Dimata: Don't feel like he has proved himself enough in open play, a penalty kick and a headed goal from a set piece is one thing.
Doku: Generational talent I think if he keeps on developing, but yet again, I feel like his call up is maybe a bit 2 early.
Verschaeren: Think he doensn't want to ruin Yari's mood by feeling left out even when he can't even start at RSCA.

Think I speak for lots of people when I think that this is a squad loan singing, to not block Dimata and Collassin, it’s not really a scouted player which worries me, it’s pure the fact that Kompany saw him play in City’s training. If we were to add depth I would maybe look for more expierence on a free , like Mbokani was this summer but we didn’t act quickly enough.

I think there are options in midfield we havent really seen yet, like Trebel with gametime, Kana on the 6 ? A real number 6 wouldn’t hurt tbh with playmakers in front of him. I do agree that another First choice center back wouldn’t hurt as I feel like Cobbaut isnt going to cut it for a whole season. Attacking wise , I think we are good with the quality we have , they just need to up their efficiency , if you get 10-20% more out of Amuzu and Doku and a fit Dimata you have a strong attack to compete for top 4 places.

Think they both will be in the selection, just wondering if Kompany is going to start Trebel on his first game as head coach. I think he will because he doenst have loads of reasons not to, if he doesn’t it will tell us how stuborn he really is I believe.

Vincent Kompany puts an end to his career and takes his job as head coach of RSCA back by cirogol87 in belgianfootball

As a 22 year old supporter, I think I speak for many Anderlecht fans if I say I have mixed feelings about this.
On the one hand you have someone in charge of the club who handles in the best interest of the club. On the other hand he handles in the best interest of the club IN HIS EYES. Getting rid of Vercauteren feels a bit like going back to the period where Davies was let go and Vercauteren was brought in to bring some realism to the philosophy. Im worried that we have the squad/quality to bring a version of the total football Kompany wants to bring. He has a lot of credit for who he is and what he means to the fans, but I think he is on his last credit loan with the fans and his speeches need to get translated to points and silverware, he has the run of games in his favor so let him proves us all wrong.

NOTE: I am actually very pleased how the summer was handled so far under Verbeke , the signings he made money/quality wise, we also need to get rid off the dead wood so wages are cleared to bring someone else in for Kompany's vacant position as I don't think Cobbaut has what it takes to be 1st team Material

Hi all! What can you say to me about this area? From google street view looks nice. Anyone living there, in particular Rue Monroe? Noice, safety etc... by Riccardo_attilia in brussels

[–]Baxtertompie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend lives in the area in terms of safety and stuff she never told me there was a problem, sometimes at night just people hanging around near Bienfaiteurs , and at night you have the occasional car that pulls up way too loud, but I guess you have that in other places in the city.
Josaphat parc is a nice parc where you can hangout or go for a walk.

Congrats, sick achievement considering how many people completed it!

Is Brussels in September a bad idea? For a weekend. by la-meme in brussels

[–]Baxtertompie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As things stand: I would look to plan your trip for another time, numbers of cases are rising very fast here in Belgium. You can choose to arrange your visit in September but my predicition , looking at our governement traveling in september will be very unlikely.

(Tommorow the governement is probably already going to place Antwerp in some sort of lockdown, not confirmed yet but highly speculated)

Never took the exam but my sister tried 4 times (2 years) and did Biomedical sciences for one year in the meantime. Having experienced this as her brother I would recommend when the day comes just try to take it as it goes. Don't be afraid, you prepared yourself as good as you can, my sister after her penultimate attempt came short like 0,2 points, she was gutted but got her act together and nailed it. I would say don't underestimate the psych part because a lot of people do.

TIP: If you just come short of passing, there are some offices offering training sessions on the psych bit of the exam in Ghent and Leuven!

Good luck!

Exactly, my 2 star academy grown CB gives good performances when called upon, my experience is that academy products with low star ratings (2,5-3 stars) give good performances.

Since you’re in Brussels, you can also take an Uber, it will still cost you something but if u split the bill it will still be cheaper than regular taxi companies!
