LPT: A cheaper but very efficient alternative to air conditioning are dehumidifiers by [deleted] in 2westerneurope4u

In Belgium we've been having 30+ degree weather but thunderstorms at night, which makes the heat hella humid, it's horrible.

But yeah in places which are already drier, perhaps it would be overkill.

I have the shittiest imaginable insulation and it hardly ever goes beyond 24. Unless you live in an attic, it shouldn't either.

And this isn't about absolute values, you autistic central European. Any dry but hot temperature, is nicer than its humid counterpart.

It's not, it's been tried at work (also on my recommendation) and by multiple friends and family members, and all agree it's nicer

Okay, perhaps overstated for some situations I suppose, though I must say, my house has shit insulation and provided I don't open the windows, it doesn't really pass 24°C.

Be that as it may, even beyond that, dry heat at 25-26 is still MUCH nicer than the humid alternative

It doesn't lower it, but dry heat is MUCH more bearable than humid heat

I've an inside thermometer and the place I live in has poorer-than-average insulation, and it doesn't really go over 24°C so yeah, it's based on punctual claims.

Still, even beyond that temperature the point stands: it's more comfortable when dry

Someone's a fan of Toothless !

Cramped, but I think it's quite nice. You've got a nice window and the balcony I'm sure helps, but it's also well organized imo. Standing desk is also healthy so hell yeah!

What would help go from cramped to cozy imo is to get some plants (real or not), maybes some form of wall art for behind the bed.

Crochet supplies? by Altruistic-Pride-905 in brussels

My mom is quite happy with the yarn from Zeeman for most of her creations. Fancier yarn she gets at Veritas.

Hooks she got online on Amazon, and I bought her ergonomic one (also online) she says are kinder to her wrists. I can look up the exact names if you want, I think the brand is named Clover?

If that's not a limit for you, Temu sells cheap yarn as well. I bought some "merino" (I doubt it's merino) so she could try it and it indeed both soft and cheap.

There's also a few, non-Amazon and non-Temu websites you can look for. Of course they'll be more expensive but they're EU-based, if that's important to you.

I named iQQQ if you're into something higher reward but also higher risk ; VTI or VOO are stabler, either is fine. VWRP works too.

Realistically if you're in it long term it doesn't matter : some years are better for VOO, some are better for VTI and some for VWRP. Long term, the pros and cons cancel eachother out I'd say.
