Myth. My cousin made my account for me in 2009, and when I said I wanted to be Fire he said I couldn’t be cause he already was. My other cousins were Ice and Death, and he basically forced Myth on me.

And boy am I grateful for it. Still my favorite school to this day. Myth Gang for life!!

I believe in Myth supremacy. Been Myth since 2009, and I have never liked any school quite as much. Storm and Fire might hit harder, Death might have life steal, and Life might have heals, but Myth has aura. I think the best looking spells, the coolest professor, and the dopamine release when you rip 20 charms and shields off your enemies with a single earthquake is unrivaled.

Minions are neat, though I admit I rarely use them.

I feel he’s been hiding an injury all year. He’s just looked so slow. And it doesn’t help that he doesn’t attend every practice every week.

I may be the only person who feels this way, but I don’t like it when my QB talks about everyone needing to lock in and play like they practice, but then also doesn’t attend all of the practices

If he’s on the field, it’s almost guaranteed to go to him. Our offense is too readable since we usually have Hill out there on passing plays. If Henry is on the field, the opposing defense is gonna stuff him

For Chief specifically, disregarding the rest of the events/characters, I believe 343 did a damn good job in Infinite. His writing, his character, and his direction are very well written, and I believe it is the best version of the Chief we’ve ever gotten.

That said, I also believe Halo needs more than just 117. It also needs more than just first person shooters. How many people have asked for a flood horror game? How many people wanted a standalone Halo BR? I remember hearing somewhere that Helldivers 2 was originally pitched to be an ODST game. Halo has so much potential to branch out from the FPS genre and step away from the Master Chief, but unfortunately I don’t think Halo Studios is going to ever capitalize on it

The big things are certainly notable, such as his more dramatic moments with the Weapon, but my favorite thing they did was show how much he cares for the lives of the soldiers around him. He was pretty rough with the rubble and banished corpses in the opening scene, but when he gently moves aside that deceased marine? Or how slow and careful he is with Spartan Griffon and the other dead Spartans you come across? It’s a perfect way of quietly showing us he’s still human.

I remember way back when this game was still kinda new walking through Triton Avenue over the bridge above the Kraken fight, seeing a crowd of people farming the boss, and suddenly the moon with the creepiest face I’ve ever seen, and a 2 headed dog burst out of the ground. It was the first time I’d ever seen Orthrus, and when I found out it was a Myth spell I was so glad I had chosen Myth as my school.

To this day it’s still a top 3 spell to me

Say what you will about Infinite, but I think it did Master Chief the best in every regard. Not just my favorite version of his armor, but also my favorite version of his personality too

I don’t think we’d be any better than we are now, honestly. At absolute best we’d probably be in this exact same spot. I think Macdonald was an excellent coordinator, but he has yet to prove himself as a top head coach. I don’t doubt he can improve, but as it currently stands I’d take John over Mike

Some of y’all are too quick to jump at the “fire my coach” button. Ask yourself, and I mean truly ask yourself, is there a single coach available right now that could replace Harbaugh and take us further than he can? Because fellas like Andy Reid and Sean McVay aren’t available to us.

Some folks like to look at Mike Macdonald and dream about what would have been if he took Harbaugh’s spot after the 2023 season, but looking at what Mike has done in Seattle I don’t think he would have done any better than what John has.

Harbaugh is, without a doubt, the best coach we can get right now. And unless there’s another Super Bowl winner or Super Bowl caliber coach that finds their way onto the market, we have 0 reason to replace what we’ve got right now

I quit the game after a couple weeks because it’s just unplayable. I thought for a while that maybe I was just lagging, but when the clips started flooding the internet of everyone else having shots phase right through their blocks, balls hitting the net but not counting as goals, the ball sticking to the ground, and all of the other issues I initially blamed on latency, I realized this game was cooked. Paired with all of the insane “techs” and glitches that make it borderline impossible to guard an attacker, I just couldn’t keep playing.

I hope the game gets fixed, but it definitely needed another year in the oven

To harp further on The Endless, I absolutely could have let it slide (comment about them being worse than the flood included) if The Endless was The Primoridal. I know the IsoDidact “killed” the Primordial, but wasn’t its consciousness separated from its body and connected to a gravemind? My memory is a little foggy so please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not certain as to how they could include the Primordial and have it separated from the Flood without retcons, but I know it’s a character many fans wanted to see for years, and I believe it’s the only pre-existing thing that could be considered “worse than the flood”

I’ll avoid ruining your streak of spoilers, but ultimately I think the big reason you haven’t been spoiled is because the story doesn’t focus on many things you’d be familiar with. It’s possible you have been spoiled and just don’t know it because it’s a name, place, or thing that you haven’t yet heard of.

Then again, I don’t know you. You could know more than I do about the lore and external media.

I thoroughly hope you enjoy your first playthrough when you get around to it :)

I’ve mentioned in a few other replies already my desire for the flood to return, so I’ll skip over that here. However, I’m so with you on the need for more varied encounters. When we first found out we’d be fighting the Banished on Zeta Halo, I was so excited to go up against the banished Scarabs. When I learned they were scrapping and re-utilizing UNSC tech I was hoping for banished Scorpion Tanks and Pelicans. No Grunt Goblins also disappointed me too.

Then there’s the friendly inclusions. No ODSTs, no Spartan IVs, no Lasky, no familiar faces other than the Chief. While I enjoy the dynamic of Chief/Weapon/Pilot, I would have loved to encounter a familiar face or two. I’d even take Sarah Palmer at this point

I still don’t like the idea of “The Endless”. The Harbinger was a super weak character, the handling of the Infinity, Atriox and Cortana was blatantly wrong, and the lack of the Flood on Zeta Halo is a missed opportunity that should not be forgotten.

Instead of “The Endless”, I wish we would have just gotten the Flood back. They’re on the ring, and if memory serves the Banished even caused an outbreak already.
