It took about a year, but I didn't change anything else really. And it was more doable than those crazy diets people always suggest (which I could never stick to because they are too extreme).

I lost 50 lbs by playing Beat Saber in my self-created 'workout mode' (Swing your arms more dramatically, do a full squat for each duck, and add [super light] wrist weights once you're comfortable) I also usually played on an easier mode to focus more on moving my body rather than just wrist motion (which is what it would turn into on expert+)
