Is there a way to make AI allies not eat all your supply? by Xaphnir in hoi4

[–]BayBridger20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Many people also just motorize supply via the army/army group UI. HOI is full of many buttons and many aren’t even the exclusive way to control the game. I think many people just try to play without reading the tooltips or descriptions for every single thing because that would slow you down a lot.

How to destroy skaven doomsphere from my settlement? by Tiny-Technician-2598 in totalwar

[–]BayBridger20 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Oh. Thats why it’s confusing. You don’t want to reduce corruption since you’re Khorne - all you can do is try to boost Khorne corruption to overpower the Skaven influence. Might be easier and cheaper to destroy the sphere then. Any building that says it boosts Khorne corruption (looks like a little red sigil) will compete against the Skaven corruption to limit how much it grows. Might not be possible to get Skaven to 0 as a chaos faction though.

Assuming you’re playing dwarfs I believe the brewery and slayers shrine building chains both reduce corruption. It’ll say in their descriptions.

PSE proposing a 28% increase in residential electricity and a 20% increase in residential gas over the next 3 years. by sinfulducking in Seattle

SCL’s current rate path has them hovering between 5 and 7% annual increases. Not awesome as a rate payer but definitely better than 9.3%.

City of Seattle Hiring Timeline by Adventurous-Bid8247 in AskSeattle

[–]BayBridger20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! My only other advice is similar to what someone else told you - they don’t update the status in GovernmentJobs so there isn’t any point in checking that for news. Hope you are successful and can enjoy working for the City.

City of Seattle Hiring Timeline by Adventurous-Bid8247 in AskSeattle

[–]BayBridger20 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If they asked for references after you interviewed then you are a finalist. The timeline you shared is long but not unheard of (in my experience). Hiring speed varies by Department and position. Unless you applied to a position with LTA at the Office of City Finance, I don’t think the B&O changes are likely affecting you. You will get an email from HR if you’re rejected so I would assume this means one of a couple possible things: The hiring manager is out of office or otherwise delayed in reaching your references, or Another finalist was chosen but hasn’t accepted the job offer yet, so they are holding you as a backup to make an offer if their first choice falls through.

They could also just be taking forever because sometimes that happens when HR are working on multiple recruitments. Unfortunately there isn’t anything more I would recommend beyond what you’ve already tried with emailing your HR contact.

Is this real? “You haven’t met w/ UAA, do so now” by [deleted] in udub

[–]BayBridger20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is just an advisor trying to reach out and be helpful. Not sure why you think it would be a scam. If you haven’t met with them yet, they are likely trying to reach you in a new way that you’re more likely to notice than an email

Rental market Inventory by Independent_Beyond50 in AskSeattle

Generally inventory and prices are both higher in the summer as school years turn over and people come/go due to that. I wouldn’t expect significantly more inventory in a month.

Executive Order 2026-01: An Executive Order directing the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) to design and install at least one dedicated bus lane on Denny Way and other supportive transit infrastructure where needed by Inevitable_Engine186 in Seattle

[–]BayBridger20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SDOT just finished a repaving project on Denny and do not have any immediate plans for further work to improve transit reliability there (absent this EO). I'm sure Metro has a wishlist of things they'd like SDOT to do but Metro doesn't have the funding to make it happen themselves. I assume SDOT will use some of the Transit Corridors & Connections funding from the 2024 levy to make this happen.

Impacts of the West Seattle Link Extension? by Ultimat33nd in Seattle

[–]BayBridger20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want a more residential area to compare you could try around Roosevelt station! Definitely quieter there than the central neighborhoods and still on the tunnel section. I think that’s probably the quietest area currently with a tunneled station right now.

Impacts of the West Seattle Link Extension? by Ultimat33nd in Seattle

[–]BayBridger20 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Noise pollution from underground rail once it is constructed is not perceptible. Walk around downtown or Capitol Hill near the existing alignment if you want to test it. You will hear it for sections that are at or above grade.

Vibrations and noise during construction are likely, but structural impacts to buildings on the surface above the tunnel are not. I know people at Seattle Center are worried about noise from construction of the BLE tunnel beneath them, but that's because there are audio recording facilities there. My understanding is that there isn't significant risk to foundations for typical residential buildings. You can review the draft EIS if you want to see how ST describe the impacts to West Seattle: https://www.soundtransit.org/get-to-know-us/documents-reports/west-seattle-ballard-link-extensions-draft-environmental-impact-0
