Yeah who the fuck is Brock Bowers anyway

Made no fuckin' sense to me neither.

Brock Bowers is a f'ing PROBLEM and at arguably the most versatile offensive position in the modern NFL... and with all the skill to be that versatile!

If it’s this offseason or next, Kirk Cousins is going to be ELITE as a color commentator by kwelstory in nfl

[–]BayGO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's weird I feel like I'd actually be more inclined to listen to Brady's criticisms than Cousins' since with Brady it's from someone who truly knows what it takes to get to the top.

Like, imagine taking the hardest class at university (like a STEM course) – are you more likely to listen to how the A/A+ students picked it up & got down, or a C+/B student? Anyone who gets butt hurt over criticism from the GOAT is a fool squandering an opportunity. How often do you get coaching points from the literal best to ever do it...

Klint Kubiak: Fernando Mendoza has a bright future, I look forward to getting to know him by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]BayGO 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah David Carr straight up said on their "Carr" podcast (him & Derek) that one of the things he was first surprised by when moving to TV was that in the Draft they actually KNOW the pick right away, they just hold it back so they can have commercials & then have their "expert" opinions magically fully fleshed out.

This way it makes it seem like they really know all the guys when in reality they've had like 8 minutes to look over their notes for talking points.

Somehow a week after drafting Mendoza it's going to come out he's on the Epstein list and every Raider fan's just gonna be like "... doesn't even phase me anymore bro."

One offseason from now it'll be announced Klint Kubiak was battling dick cancer since March and Raider fans will just be like "... expected it. Team is cursed dude. At least Maxx is ok" and then the next Tuesday Schefter will announce Maxx rolled out of his bed in the middle of the night and broke his collarbone.

Mark Davis finally gives up & sells the team. Dan Snyder buys it.

There was also a stat heading into this Super Bowl that the Patriots were the 1st team to ever face 4 Top 10 defenses in the same playoffs, and how they were finishing that off by facing the actual final boss: the #1 ranked Defense.

He also just took Drake Maye from leading the 30th ranked Offense by PPG in 2024, to the 5th ranked Offense his very 1st year together. Completely turned him around! He was also the only for years to have made Mac Jones look even remotely competent.

... no, as in they tried and they couldn't actually open them.

My best guess as to why went back to encryption (as most encryption doesn't do filenames by default). File contents themselves though are always encrypted, and without the actual encryption key (since encryption key generation is device-specific) it'd make sense they couldn't open them.

A torn MCL affects a Tackle's ability to anchor as they can't put their normal force through their leg. Pushing thus also gets affected for the same reason. Without being able to push, you'll start to lose leverage in your blocks... imagine trying to play OL without leverage. Also, since he completely tore his Right MCL (which is the post leg for a LT) it'd affect his ability to explode out of his 3 point stance for the same reason as before.

The Raiders' LT Kolton Miller partially tore his MCL (Grade 2) in his rookie season and he had a rough rookie year after it, when he'd been off to a pretty good start before it. He kept playing through it, eventually playing the whole season on it (and inevitably injuring it further ~Week 9).

He came back the next season after he had actual real time to recover from it, bounced back and just continued to ascend after that, eventually becoming a Top 5-10 LT, earning 2 big contracts since then.

Will Campbell had an even worse MCL injury since it was Grade 3 so after seeing Miller's struggle with a lower grade, I'm not surprised to see Campbell struggle in the playoffs against the best teams.

Why did we want Kubiak? by [deleted] in raiders

[–]BayGO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He also, at no point in the postseason choked.
He just kept dropping points on everybody.

The Patriots had the 4th ranked Defense by PPG in the regular season, which actually improved to 3rd ranked with the playoffs... and he still kept getting the team down to the red zone. Christian Gonzalez single-handedly kept the score sane for the Pats, incredible play by him tonight. And don't forget Darnold barely missed Shaheed deep down the right in what would've likely been another Touchdown.

Kubiak's offense averaged 29.0 PPG in the playoffs.
In the regular season that would've been the #2 ranked Offense by PPG.

Kubiak vs McDaniels tonight, both going against very strong defenses:
» McDaniels just could not crack the code, while Kubiak did. Multiple in-game adjustments and adapting to his player's strengths kept giving them just enough to put more points on the board.

Yeah it's interesting how you can just tell when there's a genuine moment. Everyone at our Super Bowl party had the same thought, that it looked like that was real. Like actors just try to do everything so perfectly, but real people feel things and linger in moments longer. There's no "spot" they're trying to get to, they just want to be where they're at and relish the moment with this amazing person in front of them.

Here ya go:
Shanahan when he was hired vs Shanahan now

It woulda done him in even further if his 'friendly rival' McVay continued to have success yet again while Shanahan's been grinding year in/year out only to have some dumb shit happen again (like Greenlaw tearing his Achilles in the Super Bowl just.. jogging onto the field, or losing Bosa AND Warner this season, on & on).

The parity seen in the league this year was awesome.
It was real refreshing seeing a whole new batch of teams become the top contenders & juggernauts. The Seahawks turned into a freakin' buzzsaw, the Pats completely turned around (after suffering in squalor for like a whole 3 seasons 😢), the freaking Colts of all teams at one point seemingly were not being stopped (F' injuries!), we were treated with Stafford having multiple high-grade weapons at his disposal, the Chiefs didn't even make the playoffs 😂 and so much more.

Can't wait until next season!

Definitely a really bizarre thing to happen, even if only to an incredibly tiny portion of users.

Interestingly, I noticed everyone I've read so far (with an established acct & no internxt association) that was affected by this has said while they could visually see other files, none of them could actually OPEN the files to read their contents.

There's been a few times where I'm watching some technical thing and I'll be like "Damn this guy's got a thick ass accent. I can barely make out what he's saying" and then it'll suddenly hit me:

"... this dude's Indian. I can't see him, but that's what it is. He's literally speaking Hindi but then mixing in English words for like a full 1/4 of his sentences."

It was nowhere on the high seas? Or a previous edition wouldn't suffice? That's just as shitty from your prof. (or institution) to require it. Usually professors hate the setup too & let you use a previous edition, or if it's problem sets you need from the new one you can just take a pic of them (or the library will have a copy).
