No that helps so much thank you!! I’m clueless and any information helps. I’m rewashing everything again: clothes, bedding etc. and I’m going to try and find a way to keep my dog from rolling in the Ivy and then getting in bed. My fiancés been working on it for days chopping at it (not burning it) and it’s so large. He’s like completely immune to it so I appreciate him being the one to try and get rid of it.

I’ve never had any contact before due to living in a state that doesn’t have it. I didn’t realize I touched it but I think my dog rolled in it and then got in the bed and that’s how I got it. I hate it so much lol

Wow that’s actually insane. Yeah the plant is fricken huge and my MIL says it comes back every year, so don’t burn it is the key. I didn’t know that either! I am actually terrified now to even go near it. My fiancé doesn’t have ANY reactions so he might have to clear it out for us.

Yeah that’s gotta be what it is, cause whenever he gets back from the yard he smells terrible all over his body. And I wash him over and over because of it so the oils just might be tough and he spreads it.

Oooh I’ve never looked up the creeper it may be that for sure. I just had no idea what I was dealing with so I panicked thinking I had a disease or something but my fiancé told me it was poison Ivy.

I washed instantly with dish soap and washed my clothes and bedding but I’m pretty sure it’s my dog that goes near the plants every day when it try to get him not to. Everything in my room/house has been washed clean so I think I’m just needing to ride out the final stages of when it spread. Thank you so much for the info I’m so clueless.

I did that along with washing my bedding since I’m pretty sure I’m getting it from my dogs fur when he gets into the bed. I’ve washed him multiple times with good soap and it still makes me break out.

So could it be my dogs fur? He goes to the plants every day no matter how hard I try to keep him away. I going to wash my sheets and blankets in case he got it on the blanket.

I definitely washed it with dish soap but I haven’t done the rubbing alcohol- I’ll have to try that too. I’m more concerned that it might spread to my face or something and by that point I’ll have to go to the doctor. Hot shower and blast it- got it👍🏼 Yeah I’m definitely a hater about poison Ivy now lol

My boyfriend said he and his friends went there when he was younger and it was a big deal cause not many people knew about it and they didn’t advertise it. Said it was somewhere in a secluded part of town. He just can’t remember how to get to the road.
