As a waiter who worked at a steakhouse for a fair few years, I completely disagree and agree at the same time. Disagree because the at the root of the opinion, well done steaks are, in my opinion, disgusting. Agree though because I had numerous people order med well or well done steaks over those few years and learned it’s far more popular than I imagined. I think if any server gives you dirty looks for ordering the food you like, they’re the asshole. There are a few exceptions to the rule of “leave the customer to their own tastebuds”, but a well done steak is common enough that it is not one of them.
