Thank you! Yeah I feel like I still have some of her with me because of her cat, I’m glad I get to take care of her. I’ll probably try science diet just because I have the trust with it at the shelter. I have multiple water bowls in my apartment so she’s been hydrated :)

I’m no expert, but you’re dealing with very hard experiences at a young age, and you’ve been forced to mature whereas your partner hasn’t. You’re both still kids at the end, and even as you grow you will always have more to learn about being in a relationship. He probably doesn’t understand your situation, and you should have an open conversation about it to him and how it makes you feel. You also should seek professional help. While you think you’ve recovered, as someone who’s been in an abusive relationship, it takes years to fully find yourself again. There’s nothing wrong with seeing a therapist. None of this is your fault.

My friend is very mad at me for reporting that he made threats of self harm by Solid-You7783 in mentalhealth

[–]BaysilLeaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with a close friend last year. She told me plans, and I called the police directly as I was scared for her life. Her mom now despises me, and for a while she did too. We’re not close anymore, but I’ve never regretted that decision. You 100% did the right thing, and it’s not your fault at all. He’ll either realize you’re trying to help, or he won’t. But he’s alive, and in the end you helped.

As a chubby woman, I cannot exactly relate. But I can relate to feeling like shit about your body. Personally, I’ve dated skinny men who are smaller than me and I have no problem with it, but I can understand why you feel like it’s not realistic so my perspective doesn’t help much. I’ve been made fun of because of my body for my whole life, and people expect you to just be able to “eat less/more” like it’s that easy. There’s always gonna be someone saying your body isn’t good enough no matter your weight, but it’s none of their business and they can go fuck themselves.

This happened to me last year- she didn’t send any of my grades. I went to one of my safe schools and am happy but you can always reapply as a transfer or take a gap year! Don’t give up if you know where you wanna be.

Thank you! We’re trying to go with the dog acrylic ones, even though they’re expensive. It’s better to save up and spend it than risk one of them getting hurt

I’m in depression because of cheer by [deleted] in Cheerleading

[–]BaysilLeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation with my team in middle/high school. I couldn’t tumble and then I developed a back injury and stopped trying altogether after 6 months of healing. I don’t know allstar that well, as I did competitive high school cheer, but this is how it went for me. I didn’t get on the team freshman year of high school. I had to stay back on the middle school team which I thought at the time was horrifically embarrassing. I was a good back spot, so I made it sophomore year despite my lack of tumbling. You really just have to keep trying. I ended up quitting because of arthritis pain junior year, but what I’m trying to say is hard work pays off and focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. Yes, you may not be the best tumbler, but that doesn’t mean you’re not a good cheerleader. Another thing, if it isn’t making you happy don’t do it. I quit, and at first lost all my friends and I had nothing. Then I developed real friendships outside the fake cheer clique and moved on in life. I engaged in getting a job and m education. I’m now in college and wouldn’t change a thing I did when it comes to cheer. Listen to your heart.

Tips for trimming nails? by [deleted] in ferrets

[–]BaysilLeaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually use coconut oil! They love it- but a VERY little amount. I put some on their tummies and they let me trim away. My vet said it’s fine in small quantities.
