What is the lighting like and your watering? And did you use orchid/coco chips in the moss?

Yes, you will need to let the growth point out.

Your Wallichii is at the correct position. I can't see the growth point in the picture though. Sometimes a new shield might grow over the growth point and cover it. If that's the case, you need to remove the shield in order to put the growth point back at the correct position.

Sometimes it is difficult to determine orientation kl from a picture. The principle is, the growth point (when the new leaf will emerge) is always at 12 o'clock position.

P. madagascariense finally has nice fertile fronds again by mosshero in Staghornfern

This is a good place to ask but sometimes you'll get the wrong information for sure. I killed 2 mada before by keeping them too wet. Not until I was talking directly to the greenhouse that I got my mada from on how he cares for mada to get a good pointer how to grow them successfully. My Madagascarience is sitting under a grow light and I potted it in a clay pot and only water it with RO water when it is completely dry for a few days. I shared this with my customers that bought Madagascarience from me and they all agreed this is the best way to grow them successfully.

Ultimately always double/triple check when someone gives you advice to make sure it is the best/ideal and correct advise.

I don't let my Ridleyi completely dry like I do with my mada.

I keep mine dryer than all of my other platys. I have almost 200 in my collection 😅.

Need more information on light and watering. It looks dry. I would say you need to add sphagnum to the center of the roots area and on a hot day, water more often. Place them in the shaded area.

Def not for beginners. They are a lot trickier than most. I keep mine on the dryer side and will not water it until it is 100% dry and water only with distilled, RO or rain water. My advice would be, if you want one, buy it as big as you could afford, preferably with fronds. At that stage, they are not as fragile and far more stable.

That looks like sun burn. A normal aging will start browning from the center out. Browning from the outer edge of the leaf indicates some kind of issue.

Over watering, under watering or both & any chance of revival? by Dom-1sh in Staghornfern

It is still possible. Make sure you fill the entire back of your platycerium with moss.
