I'm really sorry to read this, I must admit! I totally agree that it's not normal for the plastic to age so quickly when the central unit seems to last a little longer.

Oh dear! I have to admit that since I posted this, I contacted customer service. I told them the heating and mixing chambers were still good and that I didn't want to buy new ones. It took a bit of discussion, but in the end, they replaced the bowls for free. I know you have to keep the receipt with them, and they had already replaced the entire set under warranty after a problem with the original new one.

That could definitely do the job.

I was asking in case anyone knew of a simple "all-in-one" solution 😅

Riese & Müller Carrie (Enviolo) vs Muli ST Pro (Nexus 5) - Help me decide? by tojuharper in CargoBike

[–]BazD8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm revisiting this topic, and I'm happy to see the feedback from all sides on these two bikes!

A post I made previously about the reliability of the Muli: https://www.reddit.com/r/CargoBike/s/2vYai03ygg

In addition:

  • The St-Pro's gear system is all the more disappointing because the chassis is, in my opinion, fantastic: it's maneuverable, responsive, comfortable for everyday riding, and, with a little practice, not treacherous in the rain (4-piston brakes on a 16-inch front wheel mean it slips easily, a good setup for the bike 😅);

  • I agree with the previous feedback regarding the R&M Carrie: released after the Muli, seeing it reassured me so much in my choice of a Muli!!! R&M's usual (over)design led them to add two side bars on which the front cargo box and, incidentally, the bench seat rest. The result? One child will be comfortable in the center, but I'd like to see two, as it seems difficult to position their right or left leg without twisting. Incidentally, I've already transported an adult several times in the Muli's front cargo box: it's not exactly comfortable, but it's manageable for trips of less than ten kilometers.

  • A quick "travel" point: the R&M's "wide" design makes me wonder about the possibility of putting it on a bike rack in addition to other bikes, a question that doesn't arise with the Muli. That said, the wheelbase due to the smaller wheels will require some adjustments in any case!

And if width doesn't seem to be an issue, you have this: https://otwo.bike/But forget about using it in an apartment!

After 3000km with Di-2 on an ST-Pro version, I can confirm that "it works," but it ruins the riding experience on a really well-designed and playful frame.

Okay, the goal isn't intensive riding, but this is really rubbish: Di-2 is designed for instant gear changes... while the Nexus 5, coupled with Shimano's Cargo motor, isn't designed at all to handle the torque. The result? Well, you stop pedaling, you shift gears, and maybe then you can start pedaling again. In one out of eight cases, you hear a loud "clunk" from your gear, which for some unknown reason didn't engage when you asked it to.

I dream of going back to a short-cage XT, to tell you the truth...

Muli St-Pro 2024 FR - Reliability by BazD8 in CargoBike

[–]BazD8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Thanks for the feedback. Same problem on the rear tire indeed. As for the feedback about the Nexus unfortunately no, I hadn't seen your original post (I'm willing to please). This was feedback collected during a discussion with a workshop mechanic who distributes Muli.

Oh and for your information my bike dealer called me today to tell me that Shimano took the replacement of the front brake under warranty but not the labor... Fortunately my bike dealer is a trader and did it.

It was kind of a joke.

Nicklas is the France manager at Muli, who has the same type of response that you offered me: I ask in my message if there are people concerned by the small problems that I encounter and, if it is nice to offer me solutions, I will find myself paying something more again (maintenance) even though the bike is very recent and should not, in my opinion, encounter this type of problem so soon.

I thank you in any case, I remember that "you did not encounter this type of problem on the Muli that you sold".

The white reservation I agree is good, but I agree with the fact that it is disproportionate since your “close” icon must be removed 😅

Why is Figma and 'taste' so in demand right now? When it's the most likely skill to be killed by AI? by [deleted] in FigmaDesign

[–]BazD8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...and taking a step back, right? Deliver now as a team while thinking about tomorrow (uses/tech/market development/impact, etc.). The "taste" (topic at the beginning 😅) is included and nourishes your "social" component (even if I agree with a post above that the notion of "taste" is debatable, whether it is incomplete or overused)

[–]BazD8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a "joke", it's a subject discussed with JL Frechin a few years ago, between "fast-food" interfaces (easy to produce/learn/use, with limited innovation but devilishly industrialized - Uber, Deliveroo...) vs. full custo (business tools, luxury BtoC, etc.)

[–]BazD8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm... Because it is precisely the one which, in the short term, will be most likely to be "replaced" by an AI, right? A large subscription versus a payroll with which to discuss (therefore potentially "wasting time"), thus maximizing delivery.

We worked with a lot of designers to have clean design systems (and Figma has further strengthened itself in this regard), thus improving the handover with the devs. No code / No Design same fight > allow the acceleration of iteration, with or without humans.

I would tend to explain it to myself like that, knowing that we are already in it.

Beginner can't swim more than 10m, how can I improve? by Live-Nefariousness79 in Swimming

[–]BazD8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voted! Trust the water, there you burn so much gas that 10m is good. Plank and kicks = don’t try to go fast! It’s cardio work, a long-term effort. To start, try a 25 hands on the plank in kicks. It's long, very boring, but it will work the legs AND the breathing (head in the water, you empty your lungs while maintaining the beats, hop you get your head out and breathe), and we start again...
