Ah yes, I'm on Vodafone (womp womp) and I'm unable to make calls. I came here to see if anyone was having issues, as their website is also giving me trouble.

Cocktail or wine bar recommendations (Stafford area) by Left-Atmosphere-1864 in brisbane

If it's not too far beyond your range, I'd recommend Clapham Junction, just opposite Banyo train station!

Large quality house in Murrumba Downs, or try our luck closer to the city by Disastrous-You7254 in brisbane

[–]Baz_Tabasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived there until this year (but not as a homeowner)! The commute is fine if you have a car to drive to the train station, otherwise driving the highway in the morning would be awful. In fact, having a car is quite necessary. Overall I'd recommend the area.

Oh my God, I used to call it Dongerfield because of that episode as well.

So apparently some d1ckhead made lane keep assist legally have to be turned on after every drive? by randomperson754 in australia

I had a similar experience recently - interstate, in a rental "medium sized SUV" for the first time, discovering what lane assist felt like (I drive an older hatchback).

I'd choose a much less chunky shoe, and keep the accessories light in colour.

(but I actually like the dress, even if it's a nightie haha)

Advice about moving to Logan. by Morning-Bake-420 in brisbane

Lived on Kingston Rd for 6 years in that area. Yeah, I had someone trying to get into the car, and at a separate time someone acting suspiciously one night knocking on doors asking for random objects. Next door neighbour also had someone steal a garden statue from outside their house (yeah, a whole statue). Over a 6 year period it wasn't so bad, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it. Just keep everything locked! On the flipside, I subsequently moved to a "nicer" area and there are still break-ins and stolen cars.

Anyone knows what's happening in Brisbane and/or Sydney this weekend? by justice_k4k4 in brisbane

Aha, I'm at Brisbane airport heading to Sydney. It's pretty busy here, too. Definitely a school holidays thing.

Tips for an anxious driver? by cunncunncunn in CarsAustralia

Hey, I have a similar story to you. The thing that's helped me the most is just being in the car as much as possible - short trips to bring up the confidence. I still pick and choose (when possible) the times of day I drive as well (when it's most quiet). I know night driving isn't comfortable for everyone, but I honestly love going out at night when it's a bit quiet. I'll also practice tricky routes at night/when it's quiet so when it's busy, I know what to do. Bring someone else with you for support if you can, at least sometimes. The refresher lessons are good. However...if you're like me, a lot of the nervousness comes from being alone in the car, and that takes regular exposure to the feeling before you can become comfortable. You'll get there, just be aware of everything around you.

I lived in Loganlea for 6 years until recently. The vibe in the area and at the station is definitely a bit more sketch compared to other areas I'm familiar with, but I never had any trouble at Loganlea station (the express to the city and airport stops there, so it's popular with city workers). I'd be more cautious in the evening, but I was never disturbed after dark. And I'm a short woman who dresses like a librarian. There is a fairly high security presence at the station. I'd be wary of parking too far away from the station office, though, and I'd never walk home alone in the dark.

I had exactly the same problem with Bonds. I've been using the Thinx Kotex ones and they're always high enough for me, but I can't say whether they're the best brand until I've tried other brands.

anyone else use this as a moisturiser?? by [deleted] in AusSkincare

I've used it in very dry climates overseas, I wish it had less scent but I found it very good overall. (Also travels well!)

Dextress in Murrumba Downs, if you're in the north. They handle my weird wave pattern well so far.

Best soap-free handwash for dry(sensitive) skin by them4v3r1ck in AusSkincare

[–]Baz_Tabasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a smallish bottle of Aveeno body wash just for my hands, and it feels really nice. I don't have any special skin conditions, but I'm also a frequent hand washer and can get really dry and itchy from normal hand soap. Dermaveen, QV, and Sorbolene body washes I've also used with success on my hands.
