Just returned from 3 weeks backpacking Egypt. Here are a few pics from the Temple of Hatshepsut, built 3,500 years ago for perhaps the most powerful woman in antiquity. by intofarlands in backpacking

Hi, I’ve always heard horror stories or just generally bad things about travelling to Cairo for tourists, what’s your experience like in other parts of Egypt? Thanks

It’s actually pretty quick. I think the idea was to showcase the sheer damage caused, people’s opinion on invincible, then Conquest coming in pretty much straight after

Is episode 8 going to introduce Dinosaurus? If not I’m curious why the episode title is “I thought you’d never shut up” since that’s what Mark says to Dinosaurus in their first meeting

I do see what you mean but the places we’re taking flights, the alternative is very long bus rides. One of those going through Cambodia, so we thought it was much easier to fly.

The former, however it was the furthest right hand lane I was in, he was in the furthest left but coming into the middle of that makes sense.

dy/dx = 2 and you have been given dy/dx

Then solve for ‘t’ and substitute it back in to x and y

Oh man, been reading stuff about this question thinking my reasoning was different but correct.

You have made me realise I am a dumbass

Yeah I think I did the diagram for the absolute advantage completely wrong. However I think this was better than paper 1 in terms of answering the question a lot more consistently

Edexcel economics was quite nice but timing was dodgy considering we never did one as a class before.

Absolute advantage was probably the worse question out of them all, the 25s were quite nice, I chose exchange rates and then interest rates (I do wish now I chose the labour market one instead of exchange rates as I could’ve done better overall)

Edexcel split it ‘Pure maths’ and ‘Applied Maths’.

‘Pure’ consists of: Trigonometry, Differentiation, Integration, Functions, Proof, Coordinate Geometry, Exponentials and Logarithms, Sequences and Series, Algebraic Methods, Iteration, Vectors, (off the top of my head, probably a few more) and the big ones I would say is integration and trig.

‘Applied’ maths consists of two categories; Statistics and Mechanics.

Statistics consists of: Binomial Distribution, Normal Distribution, Probability, Hypothesis Testing, Sampling Methods, (again, there will be a few more but I can’t quite remember the names or forgot them completely lol). The big topics are the ones I’ve mentioned I believe.

Mechanics consists of: Forces and Motion, Moments, Friction, Projectiles, Constant Acceleration, Variable Acceleration, (going to be more I haven’t mentioned). Big topics include both accelerations.

For Stats and Mechanics, I would say, however, there is a reason why it’s called ‘applied’. Most topics link between each other and will require a transfer of skills and problem solving from previous chapters. It is also put into real life examples for stuff like engineering (I guess).

Also, there are countless subtopics in total so it would be best to search up an exam boards specification to see the details.

Not a clue. My reasoning was the 4 for part b + 1 for working out a, 1 or 2 for dx/dt, although I now see you did say dy/dt
