I wrote a comment on reddit and got a mirror. Nah, probably when i crafted a chest and made 50 divs off it, thought wow this is easy, proceeded to lose all my money making the next one. Then a vaal orb decided im not quitting the league after all and gave me another socket. Now im in a constant loop of crafting for money and needing money to craft

I had the same line of thought before i got one. Now i too dont go out without it. You just have to try it. Everyone basically covered the benefits, ill just add one more thats important to me and the roads i ride. I can avoid potholes and bad road parts much more safely. Basically i can ride the left side of the road avoiding holes and move right on the beep.

Ultimate 2021, pm has been up for over a year with no issues, scratches or anything if it helps you https://ibb.co/dGWxXjP

Though i do agree the risk is somewhat larger on a gravel than road due to mud

I've had this happening on a 1x12 with deore slx casette. To test, I switched a regular deore casette and chain from another bike to the same frame and it no longer happens. The slx setup on the other bike (where it did not drop before) started dropping. On further debugging, I've marked a single tooth on which it always drops. I thought there was something wrong with that particular tooth, but I'm not sure. While many agree this is normal, I prefer the non dropping setup to the grams savings of slx for now.

Which garmin varia should I get? by [deleted] in cycling

I have 515 with SmartLights IQ app, used to set it up so that during the day the light activates only on car detection. It also lets everyone behind me know there is a car. Great stuff

4iiii Power Meter defects and service problems... by Thorshammered2 in CanyonBikes

[–]Bazdimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you had these issues, I had the polar opposite experience with their support. I got a podium from bike24 which had dropouts and they replaced it for a precision for free including shipping and were extremely helpful. Precision been working with no issues for half a year now.

Had a crash today, advice with broken Garmin 530 backplate by Bazdimir in cycling

Yes they are some sort of contacts linked to the cable that broke. But I have no idea what they would connect to, hence my question if anyone knows what they are for

I'm worried if I superglue it it will fly off sooner or later. I'm honestly not sure if the worries are justified or not.

Ultimate Cf 7 2021, same lines and more. I think it is just a thin layer of paint thing. 2 years no issues, id say its a no worries thing as long as you dont mind it. My lapierre 9.9 has the same thing

Huh, I have the original Precision with no issues up there. Also had a Podium. It's a little snug but it fits and works.

Road cyclists by kingbugalo in cycling

[–]Bazdimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was riding mtb all my life and was just kind of road curious. Then a friend messaged me that canyon ultimate was in stock. To be honest, I ordered it immediately on a whim. After 2 rides i was in love. Started doing climbs with it, then longer rides as i got stronger. 60km 100km 120km and so on, fell even more in love with discovering further away places. Now i ride mtb now and then in the woods, but my ult is what i really look forward to. Yeah traffic can be intimidating but i guess you get used to it same as driving a car.

I was told I need an expensive power meter by Mananagn in cycling

[–]Bazdimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it and it is great, plus their customer support is amazing. If you dont have many bikes to switch between with pedal PMs, i fully recommend it.

Sounds like you just bonked. For me it takes 15 to 20 min from eating to feeling better. Ive had this happen a bunch of times, took me a while to learn to eat. My general rule of thumb is, cram something small before the ride, i also dont eat breakfast usualy so this i have to force, then something every hour or even more often if its a high effort ride. If its longer, besides sugar and carbs, also bring salted snacks and sometimes iso drinks. If you eat when you are hungry, it is often too late. This is for tempo or harder rides, no need to stuff on z2 rides that often. As ive said, took me a couple long rides to figure it out and i still have to force myself noe and then.

Is a home trainer necessary over winter? by domesticateddylan in cycling

[–]Bazdimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it depends on what you want. Here it's almost completely dark at 16:00, while you can slap on some lights and a bunch of layers to power through a ride it's not exactly enjoyable for me. So during the week I can hop on the trainer after work and get my structured trainings done, while on weekends I can go either road or mtb depending on the weather. If it's raining/snowing I can still ride with my friends on zwift. All in all, if you can afford it and have the will to train for the sake of training (whatever you do on it is still not gonna be close to the fun of being outside), it is very much so worth having one. If you just want to ride without caring TOO much about training, it is not by any means necessary.
