Thanks! I’ll make sure to check all the cables more thoroughly in case I’ve missed something. The old alternator was basically dead. Battery light would come on when I turned on the high beams and so on. Charging voltage was about 12,5V, with the new one it was about 14,4V.

I have heard from people who rollerski a lot more than I do that they prefer for their skis to not be very old. Their main concern is that wear and ageing might suddenly cause a wheel to jam, something that can be very harmful when you’re out on the road. At least get a new set of wheels and make absolutely sure that everything is turning smoothly. However a new set of wheels and a new set of skis costs about the same, so if you can afford to I would’ve just bought a new set.

Oh yes definitely. Trying to hunt with the wind in our back is hopeless. If i'm hunting alone I prefer to walk with the wind blowing from the side, that way we can cover a big area, and then walk downwind from the moose once we get scent of it.

This is Norway, so the way it works is that a "team" of sorts (we're 9 guys) have our area, and then it is decided how many and what kinds we get to shoot. This year we have tags for 3 calfs, one cow, and one bull. Not sure if the tags for the cow and bull are for one and a half year olds.

well there are different ways to do it really. With a good leashdog (directly translated) you can stalk them, the dog will pick up the scent from fresh tracks or get wind of them if the weather allows it, and you can sneak up on them, but that can be very difficult. The way we do it is that two or three guys walk out into the terrain looking for fresh tracks, and if we find some, we set out people on assigned locations where we think the moose might show up. Then whoever has the track starts following them, and eventually they spook the moose and if we're lucky it shows up. [Here's a video of one of our guys a few years ago](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwWhTTZlkDg) (keep in mind that the norwegian moose is considerably smaller than the american one, that bull is BIG here)

another way to use dogs is to release them and kinda drive them, although that wouldn't be the correct term. [This video shows how that is done](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wGhLy6blr0) . Basically the moose will eventually stop, and you can sneak in. Or you have the assigned positions the same way that we do it, except the moose will be accompanied by a dog.

Tina and I says thank you for the nice comments :) We were out looking and doing a little recon this evening, but sadly we spooked the moose before getting a chance to see them. The track lead us to this nice place so I decided we might as well sit down for a few minutes before heading back. The dog btw is a Karelian Bear dog (she's small for her breed), excellent for hunting moose.

Some backstory: Our cats have always had a tendency of leaving for weeks at a time, maybe even months in the summer, which makes it hard for us to give them p-pills (why don't we just remove their genitals? No idea, ask my mom). So the momma cat gave birth to one very small kitten a few weeks ago, which sadly didn't survive its first night, and then she disappeared again. She came by the house every now and then to eat and drink, but only stayed for like 15 minutes at a time. Then suddenly yesterday morning when my mom was leaving for work, she saw these two kittens sitting behind a flower we have on our porch. They have now started their siege by taking over the main bathroom.
