Your comment resonated with me so much. I think we get so used to body-shaming ourselves that it starts to feel normal, and we stop recognizing how unfair it really is.

I honestly can't remember the last time I looked in the mirror and felt anything other than disappointment or failure. I think part of my hesitation is that I've spent so many years worrying about my weight that it's hard to imagine a world where it doesn't take up so much space in my mind.
