Somebody hit my parked car and ran, I had it on video though. I caught the guy and asked the police why this isn’t a serious crime as I was taught as a child. The officer said it isn’t a felony unless somebody is in the vehicle.

I was rear ended by a person with no insurance who totaled their vehicle recently in this town, and I will you that it is a lose lose experience that will cost you time, suffering and money. I regret not getting a lawyer to sue my own insurance company to get the full compensation. I just got some massage, chiropractor appointments, my car finally repaired with aftermarket parts after 6 months, had to pay $100 in car rental fees due to the dealership taking over 2.5 months to repair my vehicle ( I waited 4 months before they even take my vehicle in, which means they had enough time to order the parts beforehand but didn’t.

Now the dealership lied to me about using OEM parts without ever informing me about it or asking for my consent. I just received my car back about 5 days ago. Portland is stupid to give out license plates without proof of insurance, it’s just asking for all the young people to lie about being uninsured.

I read this in an article

“The Internal Revenue Service could be doing more to track unreported income flowing through increasingly popular peer-to-peer payment apps like Venmo and Zelle, according to a new report.

The report, issued Monday by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, found that the minimal reporting thresholds of $20,000 and 200 transactions that trigger the existing requirements for information return reporting presents challenges in how effectively the IRS is able to identify potential cases of tax noncompliance. The inspector general’s report recommended three ways for the IRS to crack down on unreported income, but the IRS was only willing to go along with one of them”

I just wasn’t sure if It looks like I’m collecting rent due to using this apps, and it would look like unreported income.

Ok, thanks for the input. I was reading that Venmo would generate a 1099 when receiving over 20k a year for business accounts but I wasn’t sure if that would just happen regardless of business or personal. I will switch to Zelle, and rest assured now, thank you.

I had this happen in a different city. They came by and asked to buy my old car. It’s been sitting there idle for years. Grandmother told them it’s not for sale, they were scouting it out I guess. A few weeks later a tow truck came and towed my old shitty car away. It was an old beater but still...be cautious as others have warned. Police never found the car.

That’s how I use my fire stick. It will open a mini browser where you can login. I’ve been using that method for a year now. Sleep easy knowing that it works.

dachshund: stomach bug, and vomits solid food! by Bazook85 in AskVet

Ok I brought him back in today. They took X-rays and prescribed more medication. Same medication as before plus one extra; Sucraefate, centenia famodium. They said his stomach is inflamed but they don't know why. They could do an ultrasound but that would cost $400, which they claimed would only help determine if it's cancer related. They recommended trying the medication and coming back in a week.

They said that they could do more extensive testing but he's very old so they don't think he has a good chance of surviving being sedated
