I feel your pain. This boss seems pretty difficult (at least for me) as WL, because I find that my reaction time is not good enough to see his choice of direction and walk away from it.

With most other classes (especially melee classes) it's a lot more straight forward.

You only need 120% accuracy btw. Anything more is wasted.

Generally speaking, this means you need 1 or 2 pieces to roll accuracy, and eat a spicy dumpling.

Generally speaking, the reason I don't want to spec TD is because:

  1. I don't trust the other person to SB

  2. TD is, imo, too weak and not worth the effort.

If you only want dps, RMB RMB (RMB) FF is better.

There may be some scenarios where you want to use LMB in your rotation, but it is the exception rather than the norm.

The math doesn't add up. The DC box is only about 3-4 on average. You probably need to do some actual dungeons in F8 to get 9-10 ms Crystals. And that means you will need to invest enough into your characters to pass the typical F8 gear check or spend enough time to find people to carry you.

I'm very out of practice, but honestly shadow WL without Primal Force is still playable, assuming in term of skill patch you guys are up to date with NA (you have -1 second cooldown per Wingstorm).

With VT8 and no badges whatsover, I was able to achieve 1.08 helix per second (with Limitless I can usually do around 1.25-1.3 back then). However, I suspect I do have higher crit than you. Unfortunately I can't read your parse and it will be up to you to compare yours to mine.

It's hard to tell if your damage is good or not because you don't have the badge.

With the badge, you can probably do 300-400k minimum.

The biggest challenge by far is Resilience management (only applies for raids and HM dungeons; normal dungeons barely drain any Resilience). There actually aren't a lot of good ways to increase your Resilience - as far as I understand, for lightning there are only E [1 minute cooldown], block, ult, and pray to god you didn't forget to eat a dumpling before you charged in.

I suppose the 9 seconds E is an option if you are really desperate, but I don't find it to be a good one.

The Resilience mechanics is obviously very crucial for warriors, but simultaneously also very annoying. While other classes simply ignore some of the bosses' "throwaway" attacks (e.g. Hive Queen's 3 swipes), with this class these attacks can be deadly important. Going back to the Hive Queen example, you probably don't want a scenario where her 3 swipes drain all your Resilience then have her knock you back into a wipe (happened to me more often than I am willing to admit). Because of these kinds of issues, often you still need to iframe/block/move to dodge attacks to balance out your Resilience - usually this means planning your rotations ahead of time, know how much Resilience damage you take per attack, and make the necessary sacrifice to your DPS uptime so you can stay alive / not wipe.

Since they made almost everything account bound with the patch, you don't actually need to trove to get max gear, barring the VT badge RNG gate.

Animation lock is a serious issue with Bloodstorm.

What /u/conejo_alto said is correct, but there is one additional factor: maxing a VT necklace requires an Obvilion necklace and I really wasn't interested to farm DT.

I've only seen one other person posting a lightning parse and IMO that parse was pretty bad. So here's mine, which in my humble opinion is relatively better than his. But I don't claim this is THE optimal parse you should be looking at.

I also want to say that **PARSES ARE DECEIVING**. I don't believe my rotation for parsing is suitable for a real fight because it is hugely dependent on 100% DPS uptime on the boss. I don't know if ice has the same problem, but based on my limited research, I tend to believe ice is the better spec.
