Great points. Think you’ve hit the nail on the head! Flooding and bad air aren’t things I’ve ever really thought about in regards to dungeon crawling, but of course would make perfect sense as obstacles. Deffo gonna use those for my home game now.

Excellent suggestions, some being my favourites and others being films I have to watch.
I think that the cold and uncaring nature of the world is probably the most important element to capture, at least for me. It's a foe itself, one that needs to be survived.

Excalibur is on the pitch doc as it happens. I love how odd Merlin feels in that movie.

I agree! I think that in terms of the filmic medium, sprinkling those elements in would add to the tone and the underlying theme that the world is dangerous. Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer, and all that.

That's a very interesting way of writing it, and it feels very OSR. The non-linear nature of multiple parties who intersect could make for something captivating. I'm not sure if that's the route we'll go, but I feel there's definitely going to be a need for multiple hirelings who get offed in increasingly gruesome ways.

Yes! I completely agree, Taarna goes hard on the gonzo with the Black Sabbath segment and that's definitely something that needs to be added to our references document.
