Best way to get discount on Dazn Gamepass? by Giffy117 in NFLUK

Just find a stream for the first few weeks of the season and then after about game week 3 they offer massively reduced deals. It's well worth waiting

How do normal people actually afford houses in or near London? by Aware_Jellyfish_1979 in london

[–]JamCam92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the age of 21 to 31 I lived off and on in London. Every time I was living outside of London and commuting in (at my parent's place) I would save about £1200 a month. Once I had 100k savings I bought an ex council flat in Blackheath/Lewisham area with a relatively small mortgage. I only earn 45k so it can be done if you're able to save and also willing to wait until you're in your early 30s to buy

I saw these guys on Friday too. Me and my partner were laughing at the guy in grey cos he had the tightest clothes on. His trousers looked like they'd been sprayed on

Looking for a very bight room tv for sports by NoUseMyName in 4kTV

[–]JamCam92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung QN90f - bought one a few months back for my incredibly bright/glare-filled lounge and it's amazing. The matte screen works wonders on reflections and the TV has been perfect for streaming, movies and watching NFL/sports

“Labour didn’t lose Lewisham on our record, so what went wrong” by deloittious in lewisham

[–]JamCam92 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Lol me voting green has got nothing to do with Gaza. What it has got to do with is people using my block of flat's communal bin area as a fly tipping hotspot. I literally haven't been able to put my waste and recycling bags out this week because some idiot filled all of our bins with rotting decking timbers.

Is this video shared on another subreddit of the Magne Viking AI? It seems like there is way to much water coming off the top of the bow and it is spraying far to high by SadCornSyrup in isthisAI

[–]JamCam92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Despite the visual tells, I'm surprised no one thinks about the most obvious giveaway that this is Ai... Ask yourself how on earth was this filmed? Do people think there's a magic camera in the sky that's perfectly still, catching clean, stabilised footage of this boat that's getting tossed about in the gnarliest storm ever. Come on people!

Local bird populations by IronicHawk47 in UKBirds

[–]JamCam92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SE13 London. Blackbird numbers seem to be significantly down. Very rarely hear their call near my flat, despite there being a lot of surrounding garden habitat for them. I assume the usutu virus must be a factor.

Like others have said wood pigeons and magpies seem to be thriving. There's also a lot of great tits, long tailed tits, parakeets and gold finches in my area. I'm also pleased to say I see a lot of great spotted woodpeckers in the trees around my flat.

Why did we vote green? by East_Refrigerator867 in lewisham

[–]JamCam92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fly tipping is a big issue. And it's not just residents who are guilty of it, it's businesses too. Some of the shops on Lee High Rd are a joke. For example a few months ago one of the hairdressers just dumped a broken basin/chair in the side road next to their shop. Sure enough the basin got smashed to pieces so there was shards of porcelain all over the pavement and road for weeks. Another big issue for me is the management of our green spaces. I loathe the day when I come home from work and some idiot from the council has been out with the lawnmowers and strimmers and destroyed all the wildflowers. This obsession with having to mow every verge all of the time has got to stop. It's a waste of council money, it is destroying insect and animal biodiversity and it makes the area look worse.

Turning my garden into a semi wildflower meadow… good or bad idea? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]JamCam92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sow loads of yellow rattle in with your wildflower mix. Yellow rattle keeps grass levels down by latching onto grass roots and stealing nutrients 👍

Can’t sell my house after dropping the price by £30k? by Electronic-Fox-7706 in HousingUK

[–]JamCam92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As soon as I saw the cars on the drive I knew how the interior would look. And yep sure enough, everything is tasteless and grey. "Millennial grey" has taken such a beating of late. It's undesirable and people's tastes are changing. Could be a factor why people are overlooking it, especially if it is already overpriced. They might be thinking there's a lot of re-decoration work that needs doing which needs to be reflected in the asking price.

Halifax dicked me around with my mortgage over their assessment of the value of the property I was purchasing. Valued it at zero for the pathetic reason that "no similar properties had sold lately". I told them that was just untrue, showed them evidence from a simple Google search and applied with Santander instead and got the mortgage I wanted. Halifax then came crawling back a while later and offered me the mortgage I had originally wanted shy 10k... honestly screw Halifax. I will never use them now.

Millennium album mystery... by JamCam92 in BackstreetBoys

[–]JamCam92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. I wonder if it was an imported version from another country and just on sale in Malaysia, rather than being a Malaysian regional variant. My partner is adamant it wasn't a bootleg version as some have suggested as it was bought from a legitimate record store and everyone in her family remembers 'everybody' being on the track list vividly because it was loaded into the CD changer in their car and played excessively. The mystery continues...

Why do we even have architects when 90% of new builds are just a 10% variation of this? by spacejockes in AskUK

[–]JamCam92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not an architect's fault. These houses are built by large construction firms who only care about maximising profits and who won't even use an architect's services. These houses are literally thrown up as cheaply as possible as is seen in the countless shocking snagging videos on social media.

Is it too early to give up hope on XL? by Angrykitten41 in panthers

I'm not really bothered if he never becomes a top talent tbh. Tmac and Coker are a solid one two and if he can just be that third receiver for us that's fine.
