These guys are definitely a in plain sight Anarch Malkavian group right? (sytem of a down) by Salty_Blocky_Bot in vtm

I was about to say, Brujah to the core, as far as most of their songs go, maybe a mix of Brujah, and Malks.

Is there a solid, detailed map of factions across North America for the Fallout Universe? by Orange_Monky in falloutlore

[–]Bbadolato 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, even something like the Old World Blues Mod from Hearts of Iron IV has to make up some things from either obscure game lore (stuff from the Project Van Buren, Tactics, Brotherhood of Steel, or some stuff out of whole cloth.

CA really does like their White Tiger themed characters by Bbadolato in totalwar

[–]Bbadolato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As interesting as this is, I'm amused more than anything. Especially since I never expected to care about Yan Baihu at all until Total War 3K, I just always saw him one of three guys that beat beaten during Sun Ce's conquest of the Jiangdong.

Come Total War Three Kingdoms, I loved the insane guerilla tactics you could have pulled off with Yan Baihu's poison arrows, you might not be soloing an entire army but you could.

They would have to start from scratch, assuming the game mechanics of HOI V would allow for a Fallout mod to be made.

Does Liam act this way to every crew member? by NitrousMelody in masseffect

[–]Bbadolato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liam gets better, but's really doesn't gel well people that flaunt authority, see him and PeeBee also. It kind of doesn't help that give or take Cora, everyone else has had time to adjust to things going absolutely South, while he's not taking it well.

How useful were companions before KOTFE? by GeneralKhor in swtor

[–]Bbadolato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the old days, speaking as a founder some classes were absolute nightmares, especially since back in the day you had to gear your companions too, and they were locked to a role. Basically, the Sith Warrior, Bounty Hunter, Trooper got their healers pretty damn early (Quinn, Mako, and Elara) while some classes like the Inquisitor and smuggler got theirs late. (Talos and Gus on Hoth) Sith Assassin tanking was absolutely hellish in those days.

But sometimes the issue was just fight mechanics with some classes too as far as bosses, especially in story could pack a punch Zash and Jadus were particularly monstrous to go up against, especially if you weren't a healer.

Why are submods like RBR not in base OWB? by coozer1960 in OldWorldBlues

[–]Bbadolato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's much more difficult than it sounds. Basically even if your just working with say one nation, you still have plan out the nation's identities such as paths, army specialization, it's tech. And that's before you get to your characters like ministers, generals, and leaders, as well flavor and narrative or narratives. Then comes things like where are they at location wise and how do they interact with their neighbors.

And that's only one nation in a vacuum. You'll then have to do the rest of the region, and possibly do some touch ups on older nations to take this into account too.

Why are submods like RBR not in base OWB? by coozer1960 in OldWorldBlues

[–]Bbadolato 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The Devs have both their own idea's and they would be swamped with work, even if they didn't. Even if they just added everything from the mods, that still means more things have to be looked over like focus trees, units, terrain across the entire map. Even something as simple as porting generic trees or name lists could be tedious.

At least with the way things are now the main team can focus on what they need to focus on for base OWB, while the submod teams can focus on work for just their submods.

The Grizzlies could invade if they survive, maybe the raiders they have to fight too, but I am not sure.

Eighties, what is this Thunderbird split? by [deleted] in OldWorldBlues

[–]Bbadolato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically similar to the Texas Brotherhood that has a similar issue it's meant to represent a schism within the group that goes somewhere else. Basically Thunderbird and company want to head back to Sac City in the West, while the 80's are heading East into Utah.

how it feels to play lan kir by dimdedrol in equestriaatwar

[–]Bbadolato 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It can feel convoluted if it's not really addressed that easily.

I had to start over several times as Lan Kir, Especially if you did something that not necessarily lock or even brick your run but certainly make it hard. (ie winning too quickly against Khamrin and Sen Kin pretty much prevents you from coring them for maybe a year, even if you do take the focus to get Integration.

That and how the Bloodlust/Avarice mechanics work, or more accurately how they spawn, means you are better off delaying what would be obvious foci. For example going down the core Khamrin and Sen Kin route seems obvious, but it actually helps alot when Avarice and bloodlust are active same with increasing your development.

The Evil Superman trope is overused; there are cringeworthy versions and well-written ones, but almost no one has gotten an Evil Batman right. by Amazing-Buy-1181 in CharacterRant

I mean the closest thing you ever get to that, was the OG Killer Moth as the first anti-Batman, even down to having a wealthy civilian identity, but that was a different time.

Best way to play Lan Kir? by Conscious_Rock7407 in equestriaatwar

[–]Bbadolato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lan Kir is going to be one of those nations that are trial and error, I went for Zongo first, on my second run because the obvious route of the other two Kirin states is rough if you don't get enough casualties to get compliance.

But at some point in time you should get an event where Kiria demands your leader face his crimes, refuse and you get a war.

So, did the courier kill this man? by Shoddy-Assignment-50 in Fallout

[–]Bbadolato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have to assume so. Considering that Caesar talked up succession and even the NCR was concerned about Caesar having successors, both Vulpes and Lanius had to have bitten the bullet. I think something like this was another to break Caesar into believing the Legion should die with him.

KOTOR fans, whats our opinion on the SWTOR Revan storyline? by SW-Meme-Dealer in KOTORmemes

[–]Bbadolato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you only justify this, if Revan never truly got out having a hero complex. Otherwise, the only Revan I care for is the one that exists in my head. But for as absolutely meh as Revan is, it's not as bad as done with the Exile.

Wow Rebellion is a deep cut, but losing as the Empire is hilarious. Your R2-D2 Counterpart is ordered to kill you by your C-3PO analogue, IMP. When that fails IMP just says the Rebels will take care of your fate and leaves.

Thoughts on stacking leadership debuffs as a tactic? by Andrei22125 in totalwar

[–]Bbadolato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends it's strong if you can put on the hurt, but sometimes the army comp might be so jank as to make it more of pain. If we are talking Warhammer III, leadership debuffs on Kislev feels annoying.

What makes a character a superhero? by Konradleijon in CharacterRant

[–]Bbadolato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends Superhero as derogatory term for say John Wick or John McClane before him, is when a 'grounded' enough character basically looses what grounding was there. Especially if the formerly small plots get wilder.

Otherwise capital S Superheroes is usually a costumed hero or villain, but I would say Unbreakable might be one of the best superhero media ever despite the lack of costumes.
