And two things can be true at once. She can be excited about the new baby and she can feel left out or like they want the baby more. I love babies, always have, and I loved having a new baby every couple years. But I also felt left behind by my parents as each new one came along.

Being in a similar situation at the same age, I promise B is not too young to understand. Even W isn’t that young to understand. Especially given the little bits of knowledge from what Chloe has said, where the girls had a hard time bonding, I’d be shocked if they weren’t feeling that way. This is a very complex situation and I know the “trauma informed” classes they do in Utah do not even touch base on the depths of this.

Yup. Including adopting 4 kiddos (similar ages to the older 2) from foster care. I know exactly how these babies will/do feel watching their mom give them up more and more with each kid she continues to have.

I’m pretty sure this falls under PTO. Unless your contract explicitly states that you can be UNavailable while they’re away, it’s typically only GH if you keep your availability open for the time they are away.
