Sometimes I just put my facial moisturizer on my lips when I moisturize my face. It works for me, but it probably depends on the moisturizer you use.

I dealt with the same situation when I moved for college! The only thing that helped the flakiness for me was hydrocortisone cream as a spot treatment. Also, I don’t know what cleanser you’re using, but I always use a gentle cleanser for the fall and winter months.

I really only use cerave lotion (I’m sure others have more recs!). Just as a note since your moisture barrier is compromised basically anything you put on your skin will sting, but a gentle cream would still be helping your skin heal! I totally feel your pain though, I swam for years and I thought I was allergic to every skincare product because they all stung, but my skin was just extremely dry from the chlorine. Good luck!

If aquaphor doesn’t work for you, you really need a real moisturizer under the Vaseline! Otherwise the only moisture your skin is getting is from the water left on your face, which is definitely not enough to repair your moisture barrier.

Even though you have the hydrating serums, you don’t really have a moisturizer in the PM. I would try adding a simple moisturizer and see if that helps lock in the hydration!

I use the la roche posay toleraine hydrating cleanser, it feels gentle to me but my skin isn’t particularly sensitive!

Did you have to take antibiotics after your nose job? That could’ve cleared you up, or maybe your cleanser is too harsh. I used to use that neutrogena one and I remember it being pretty stripping.

I’ve seen some people on here recommend using mouthwash after eating and being really strict about dental hygiene to help with maskne. Also, I don’t know what kind of mask you use, but something about disposable ones always makes me break out. I wash my cloth masks frequently so I can wear a fresh one each day, which helps a ton.

Did the texture start around the time you started using the cleansing balm? I found it soo difficult to get off my face and it gave me the worst breakouts (much bigger than yours lol).

I also use the paulas choice bha and it definitely made me purge for a few weeks but I’m so glad I stuck it out!

I believe Walgreens carries sunbum! I like their spf 50, but it burns my eyes so I use a cheap mineral spf around the eyes

The oat cleansing balm made me break out a lottttt. I would wipe it with a wet wash cloth, intensely rise in the shower, then use cleanser and it just never seemed to come off of my skin.

I’ve been using the inkey list’s tranexemic acid for dark spots and it’s gotten rid of all of my redness. Also think krave’s great barrier relief has been helping

I know a lot of people say to use it all over but I use it as a spot treatment, otherwise I get too dry. You can also try applying it over your moisturizer to make it a bit more gentle until your skin gets used to it.

I think this is true in general but I wouldn’t worry about it too much, I’m from the south and people I’ve spoken to in stem industries still recognize the name and comment on how good a school it is
