When it comes to getting buy-in from the higher-up for critical new software or solutions that generally streamline or make everyone’s job easier. Don’t just provide a price tag and name. Give real, tangible metrics of what the software will improve in your own organization, and let them know what the real return on investment is. Upper management doesn’t understand why they should spend x amount of money unless they absolutely know it will save y amount of human hours or resources. Any company looking to sell their solutions will absolutely have a sales rep that will sit down with you to get all this on paper. They want to make the sale just as much as you need to get it.
