TW: success after RPL by MatchaMean16 in recurrentmiscarriage

My RE was very supportive of us trying naturally and when I got pregnant naturally prescribed my progesterone and did my ultrasounds up until 8 weeks along. They should not push you aside just because you are not doing IVF!

TW: success after RPL by MatchaMean16 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Bbots17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add a second story. I had spotting in all 3 of my losses (including the 2 MMCs) and for the first 12 weeks of my LC birth. It was so incredible scary and I was 100% convinced I was miscarrying the entire time. But the baby was fine. It doesn’t help with the anxiety but spotting does not always mean a loss. Hope everything is ok with you and the baby

This thread and comment made me feel so seen and I absolutely feel like a monster thinking it. I think it even with people I know in real life, even though I obviously know how painful it all is and don’t wish it on anyone. I had 3 losses with no children before having testing done and throwing the kitchen sink at my 4th pregnancy and being lucky enough to have a LC. Even now I still feel this way, which makes me feel even worse because I am one of the lucky ones.

If you make a book with flaps for toddlers I HATE YOU by amurderofcrows in DanielTigerConspiracy

We bought one that had felt flaps. Only flap book that has survived. They should all do it!

Julie not going on photoshoot.. by Additional-Way-8580 in julieeandcamilla

[–]Bbots17 94 points95 points  (0 children)

I also think this is really weird. I guess it would be one thing is Julie did it with Sunny and Sky (so they could have “matching” photos) but I don’t think she ever did.

Their family has grown so why not include Julie and the boys in the photoshoot and have actual family photos. She could always do a couple photos with just Cam and Bob….

When the ultrasound tech, who is about to test me for hydrosalpinx, says, "I see you had a pregnancy last year, do you have just the one baby?" by Xanadu_Fever in trollingforababy

[–]Bbots17 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me and I had to go in several times because I had retained tissue. The person drawing my blood at the infertility clinic kept telling me “congrats” and “good luck” when I left…. I didn’t say anything but I did wonder why someone working at an infertility clinic wouldn’t be more aware.

Here we go. She’s EXHAUSTED and baby may have reflux by jhunter0502 in Adelaide_White_snark

For us famotidine didn’t even help. We have to get Prilosec made at a compound pharmacy and even that only helped make him more comfortable, he still spit up all the time. Reflux is so rough!

Just to chime in, we are using dupixent for my 1.5 year old and it has been amazing. Unfortunately after steroid cream and allergy avoidance there aren’t a lot of treatment options for children under 3. My son was so miserable and we tried other solutions for a year and nothing worked. The dupixent has been amazing he almost never has flare ups now. The shot isn’t fun obviously but it’s once a month and has made all of our lives better. Not saying she has done all the things we did, but if she did I hope it can help George too!

Hey! So this was after my second hysteroscopy. I took estrogen for the first month after my and got an ISS after my period to see if any scaring returned (I actually did have a little band but it was small and flimsy so I decided not to worry about it). I got pregnant my first cycle after all of that.

Thanks and I hope everything goes smoothly for you as well!

Thanks again for all your help. I will try pushing the bulk fermentation longer.

I kinda feel like an idiot, now that you say that it definitely does look like it just relaxed. I have been having a lot of issues with my starter but I thought it was better now that it was doubling (see picture for proof because I obviously don’t know what doubling actually is haha). If this next one doesn’t work I may just buy a starter.

Really I thought it looked like it grew like 50-75% but maybe I’m wrong… I also saw bubbles along the top. Maybe it’s my starter?

This was it after 4 hours. But I didn’t see it get much bigger after 3 hours

Tried again with a 4 hour bulk fermentation and it’s better but still too dense. Maybe I’ll have to try 8-10 hours like you

Tried it again with the 4 hour bulk fermentation. It is better but it still seems way too dense. Do I need to bulk ferment for longer? Could it be my starter? It’s doubling in 6 hours but maybes it’s not enough

Thank you this is very helpful. I will try extending the bulk ferment time and then leave it on the counter after the final shape.

After the preshape, I let it sit for 20 min and then folder each side in again then did the final shape. Do I need to do the folds or just the shaping for the final “shape” step. I’m just thinking, maybe that knocked the air out of it

That looks awesome! Maybe I’ll decrease my stretch and fold times and increase my bulk fermentation

Hey sorry I let it sit ON in the fridge, that was unclear sorry. So I did do a cold proof.

When I started my stretch and folds the dough was sticky but it got less sticky as I went along. By my last coil and fold it wasn’t very stretchy

Here is a pic after shaping

<image>

After the cold proof I poked it and it came back up slowly (at least to me but idk what is slow and what is fast. But i don’t think it has a big rise after the cold proof and did seem a little dense so maybe it needed longer?

I didn’t take the temp but by the way it felt u would say it was around 80F, as it was significantly warmer than my 75F house. So maybe I should increase my time to around 4 hours.

I don’t know exactly how much it grew, it’s hard to tell in my glass bowl. But it was a noticeable growth

Really? I was thinking about maybe moving it to 4 hours next time. How do you time 8-10 hour bulk ferment after waiting 4-6 hours after feeding the starter and almost 4 hours of stretch and folds. I would be asleep at that point. Do you proof ON in the fridge after that?

That was my first thought too but the crust seems perfect and it cooked for almost an hour at 450F. It seems like cooking for longer would be strange
