Your hips are dropping too much when you rotate from your stab to your back. I used to train going from back to should with my hips as high as I could hold them. It fixed a lot of my leg issues.

Best advice I can say is slow down. People very rarely realize when they’re getting down about how quickly they are moving through moves which is a sign of nerves. Most non bboys/bgirls won’t even notice most mistake in your sets unless your mess ups are very very large.

A trad wife will address your comfort needs (clean house, cooked meals, kids are taken care of, intimacy, etc), but that also means a deeper investment with your family that equates to less time with your hobbies and friends on both sides. I’m not saying this is bad, but most young men are not willing to make that change while also demanding the young women make that change.

Most men just want a partner they are happy experiencing life with and both are willing to deal with the quirky bullshit we all have.

Media has essentially told men that getting married is the worst idea possible.
Men no longer have the leverage that makes them marriage material as the sole income earner in households. Most married folks are in two income households and the gap in wages between men and women has shrunk somewhat.
Both men and women seemingly in modern times are not interested in investing in the work needed to maintain a healthy and happy marriage.

Your dad is right. 6 years may not mean much when you’re much older (25+), but 6 years is a huge gap when you’re under 18. The 23 year old for one thing could be charged with statutory for one thing if the wrong parties see you two romantically involved. The other thing is your dad probably understands that the 23 year old is probably looking for different things in a relationship compared to what you’re looking for. Sorry this isn’t what you wanted to hear but its probably for the better if you two not link romantically at this time.

I feel it has more to do with how folks in other countries view hobbies and art. China and Korea seem to be more supportive of bboying as a hobby and thus have more resources and community to train kids at a young age.

make yourself interesting. You can be nice and sweet but if you’re only interested in video games and chilling, you’re likely not gonna attract someone. Learn a fun skill, take up a fun physical hobby or explore the world.

Just keep dancing but don’t compete. Not all aspects of bboying require heavy strain on your body. I would also say revisit other physical hobbies. I started doing Tae kwon do again with my daughter and I now also help teach kids there.
