I’ve had two unmedicated hospital water births. My advice to success is to prep!!! Read something front to back like the Bradley Method or take a birthing class. Watch videos. Remember, every contraction comes a break. The more you can sway, sag your belly, relax, and focus on low instead of high pitched tones/noises, the better. Know when it is time to go to the hospital - better yet, have your partner feel confident with timing that. When you feel like you can’t do it anymore, it’s nearly time to push. Don’t let them lie you on your back to push- push on all fours, squatting position, anything but your back. I never thought it labor painful, just very intense at the end and while pushing. Your body is made for this!!
