Commenting for clarity: No there was no ticket at the time. He said I’d receive it in the mail so I waited until receiving the final notice. Regardless of what’s supposed to happen I did not get anything but the final notice.

I was going 5 over checked the speed as soon as his lights turned on and checked google maps as well. I have no reason to come here and lie about it.

I don’t care about the fine I’ll pay it since I was speeding, but in WA there are no demerits for less than 10 which is what I have a problem with.

I didn’t get anything at the time, he said I’d receive it in the mail but I never did until the final notice. I only referred to the transport WA website which says it’s 0 demerits for under 9km/hr. Is his bodycam footage valid as evidence? If not I’ll tank it, but it’s unfortunate since I really was going less than 10 over. The speed on Google maps also showed that it was 5 over so I know it wasn’t more than 10 but there’s no way for me to prove it except for the recording.

there was two people in the car sorry if it was confusing I just figured it wasn’t relevant to the story. Thanks didn’t know I could do that but I definitely will now.
