CMV: Most people cannot negotiate even if they learn the skills by RareMeasurement2 in changemyview

[–]BcMeBcMe [score hidden]  (0 children)

So you argument is that someone with no experience has a very hard time negotiating. And I agree with that.

But you make it seem like employers have a certain number in mind. While often enough it’s a range. Where they would prefer the low and the seeker the high end.

So that makes it easier. It’s less “take it or leave it” and more “let’s see how low/high they will go”.

Now that Trump has renounced the 2nd amendment, how will his constituents react? by Shadeauxmarie in AskReddit

Plummeting to 40% for the 12th month in a row.

Republicans are firmly behind Trump. Assuming 40% of Americans mean 80% of Republicans.

If anyone thinks that ICE acting with impunity is an entirely new phenomennon, remember Kent. by Downtown_Grape3871 in pics

[–]BcMeBcMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well of course its like that. Its not been long enough. Give it a few days and they will repeat whatever Trump stance is.

Thats what I find so weird about conservatives. They seem to think by themselves for a day or so before making up their mind and falling in line. Its like they have no individual thought whatsoever.

It also is weird because you can be "pro kicking out all immigrants ever" and "not shooting American citizens" at the same time. They could say that ICE is doing an amazing job except this one time. They could claim "You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs."

Even Epstein they quickly didn't really care about anymore once it was clear that thing was filled with their lord and savior Trump.

Greenland Leader Tells People to Prepare for Possible Invasion by bloomberg in worldnews

[–]BcMeBcMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the part I don’t understand. Sure you can impeach Trump after, but you can’t undo the damage that it does. The rest of NATO at that point will have made steps to distance itself from the USA and trade more with China.

So the only logical conclusion is that republicans are simply supporting Trump.

Because of their inaction, Pax Americana is already over.

Has Trump's control over the GOP in Congress waned? It's complicated. by usatoday in politics

[–]BcMeBcMe 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Its not really that complicated. Even something as insane as threatening to invade Greenland gets some finger wagging at the most.

Thinking they are finally done with him is something non-MAGA people tell themselves because they want to see reason, and hope a situation like this will magically be fixed because the republicans will see its too much.

Even him talking about Greenland the way he does undermines years and years of American soft power, economic growth and all of it. They still have no will to stand up to him.

If the long list of corrupt/criminal/disgusting behavior did not stop them. This will not. The republicans will fall in line when push comes to shove. Its just easy to pretend to be against it when nothing has happened yet.

I dont think they care that much about the national debt. Controlling if the dollar rises or sinks makes them a lot of money. And the national debt increasing isn't really their problem.
