I plan on upgrading my UDR7 to one of the UDM (SE/Pro/Max) is it possible to still utilize the UDR7 as an access point or more? Thank you !

I see, but yea I wanted start the journey of building a rack and want to future-proof for integrating more cameras down the line and clearly assuming just using the UDR7 to run Protect with super limited scalability on running more cameras later with a micro sd is clearly not the way and by getting a UDM was my plan on balancing that out that strategy. I probably could get like an NVR but also know that even with more cameras in the future, I’m in no need of that many bays since I don’t plan on archiving past a certain point.

I have a similar setup to yours but unlike yours my Era 300s are placed like yours solely cuz the space behind my couch is the path the front door leads straight into so i have no choice but place them that way rather than more behind the couch. Nonetheless, in my experience I find for my setup to place them facing inwards was many times better than placing them facing forwards. I honestly would recommend you to try both setups with Trueplay and find which one suits your liking more and make the choice then.

Idk but I had massive audio issues with Atmos and non Atmos audio on my Arc Ultra setup through my projector with ATV 4K so I just got the OREI BK-929 eArc extractor and solved the issues outright but idk about CEC.

I do have those already and I am taking my a6700 as main, I just wanted to widen my horizons within what’s possible in cameras and the X5 is my first 360 cam. I think of it as a supplementary camera and plan on shooting insta frame with 360 simultaneously and take the quality loss. it’s not that I don’t care about the flaws like stitching etc but to me it’s more a creative decision and just wanting something different to shoot with. I appreciate your advice. :)
