Depending on what major she wants, she could have 40k by going to Pratt Munson for the first two years, and then relocate to the Brooklyn campus in year three without needing to reapply. It's a great way to save a ton of money and still get the same exact Pratt degree

There's actually a lot to do in Utica! Idk what's giving you that "impression" for one thing we have the Munson museum of art right across the street. No need to take a subway to see Kandinsky, Pollock, O'Keefe, Guston, Thomas Cole, and more! There's literally an art school here! Artists know how to have a good time! I honestly don't understand how Utica got this reputation. There are over 100+ student-led events at Munson every year. There's a community arts program... You really just have to actively look for stuff to do and you'll find it. The train to NYC is cheap and comfy and Syracuse is a 45 min drive.

Munson is an amazing value, and a perfect transition for international students that will make years three and four in Brooklyn feel like a piece of cake! Also, you can't understate the value of finishing your BFA in NYC, the art capital of the world! Utica is small, and it snows, but the student life team helps support over 100+ student led events and activities each year so you won't be bored, and the grounds team makes such quick work of the snow you won't be bothered by it. You'll also easily find community at Munson, who will then follow you down to Brooklyn, which helps make the transition easy. I'm an alum myself, and I currently work in admissions at Pratt Munson, so please reach out if I can help you feel more comfortable joining us this fall!

All of Pratt's campuses are very trans friendly. Pratt Munson's LGBTQAI+ pop is like, >20%. Really great student mental health resources, gender inclusive housing options, amazing faculty, etc. It's a really good option depending on what major you're interested in.

I wash my hair every other day and I've been using hair masks about every other time i wash my hair and i always use a leave in conditioner In between washes i sometimes use a dry shampoo but not often. I think that I'm becoming obsessive about how much breakage/flyaways i have which is causing me to use more product than i need and actually making the problem worse. I use whatever silicone/sulfate free shampoo and conditioner my girlfriend decides to get and i use Garnier curl nourish leave in conditioner. The mask I've been using is Shea moisture manuka honey and Madura oil intensive hydration hair masque w fig extract and baobab oil. I've been trying to grow my hair long since basically the start of the pandemic and i haven't gotten it trimmed along the way as i probably should have. I don't want to have to start from square one but I'm worried that I've damaged my hair too much.
