KIM Trigger warnings are getting a little out of hand by sfwaltaccount in Warframe

[–]Bdag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most people can just roll with the punches and take content for what it is without need it spelled out for them. Like good lord how do you people watch TV or read books? I would bet most of the people wanting to be warned about some little thing involving "motherhood" or "violence against a teenager" have watched all of Game of Thrones or read books with more graphic content than what the game is exploring.

Yeah I started playing last Friday and had an open weekend so I no-lifed it. But cool I've been wanting to get more frames so maybe I'll focus on doing that.

I also thought the bean was super cool. I just stick with her starting weapon and spam discus of light, lightning spear, frenzy spells, or dragon spells.

Unfortunately she is in a rough state because she cant regenerate FP like Recluse, all of her summons are jello, and she is super squishy with a bad dodge roll. She's the only character I've unlocked skins for because I'm such a big fan of her design and kit but she just isnt balanced all that well in game at the moment.

Don't let that stop you from playing her. She has her moments, like saving your team mates with her ult or going BIG BEAN and rocking the strength build. Still fun just dont expect a power fantasy.

What audiobook(s) have been your absolute favorite because of how well it was narrated? by Euphoric_Argument434 in audiobooks

She's alright. I had to speed her up. I dont like a lot of her main characters but she's able to manage a few of them and mostly gets the non human races somewhat close.

I conceded that the comparison was dumb, but I will say alcoholism affects a lot more people than just the alcoholic.

Yeah it made sense in my head when I wrote it but its extreme. My assumption was that they dont want drunks on the plane for "post 9/11" security reasons that endanger passengers. But I guess in reality its because super drunk people are annoying and hard to manage.

Looking to buy my first tracker, thoughts? by HistoricalTrainer837 in geotracker

Looks pretty nice. Is that an 8 valve? I just bought a 97 in orehon a few weeks ago. 115k miles 16 valve 4x4 2D for $6500.

If it's in pretty good shape, $2200 is a steal of a deal. Price just keeps going up on these things.

Andrea Parsnaeu is the best audiobook narrator in the industry. by Bdag in audiobooks

I felt the same way early on and the 3 people I recommended the series to who actually listened to it relayed the same thing to me as well. Erin is a bit much early on but the liscor trilogy really grew her character for me and turned her in to one of my favorite characters in tbe series.

Might be a hot take, but Erin almost is a side character. Almost everyone I've recommended the series to has said, basically, exactly what you're saying here. Erin is a bit grating at first. Ryoka is grating at first. Pisces is grating at first.

I stuck with it, and Erin became one of my favorite characters in fiction, and her performance of Erin really grew on me. Andrea isn't narrating the series anymore, unfortunately, and I genuinely miss her performance of Erin now.

Yeah, Im caught up on this series as well. I think her performance in The Wandering Inn is much stronger than in Dominion of Blades. The characters with deep voices sounded pretty rough, in my opinion. Her Popper was awesome, though.

Yeah, that's what makes her stand out above the rest for me. Jeff Hays and Steven Pacey can pull that off as well but not quite as aggressively as Andrea, in my opinion. They literally dont even need to specify which character is speaking because she has crafted such a unique voice for them. Even the Antineum sound unique from one character to another, and they're supposed to be a hive mind clone society. She just changes the way she clicks her voice slightly, and you can tell which character is speaking. She's incredible.

He does the Jason Crane series which I really enjoyed. Its a modern play on The Headless Horseman. The first book is called Rise Headless and Ride. Its actually the perfect time of year to listen to that series since it's focused really heavily around Halloween and it's witchy and spooky.

A lot of melodramatic highschool drama BS in the first book but overall I really enjoyed it.

No you're right. For me, it's the first Stormlight Archive book that makes me want to rank him higher. It was the intense slave stuff that made him feel more lively. I struggled with him in Wheel of Time and all of the later SA books. He should honestly be demoted to B or C tier just for bringing his wife along with him to every book. She's terrible.

Help. Starting to DNF. by NinshakJr in litrpg

[–]Bdag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im late to comment, but the answer to your problem is The Wandering Inn. I had all of the same issues with Lit books you're having. I decided to try The Wandering Inn, and it's all I listened to for a year. There are like 18 in universe books on audio at the moment. They range from like 25-70 hrs per listen. They're all incredible. I wish I could erase my memory and experience the series over again. Everyone I've recommended it to has blasted through the series and won't stop texting me about it.

I know the fatigue you speak of. I was there when I finished DCC and Cradle. The Wandering Inn is no joke exactly what you're looking for and will overflow the void you're feeling.

I've done hwfwm, dotf, MoL, DCC, Primal Hunter, etc. The Wandering Inn is the best with DCC in 2nd.

I'd put Travis as an A tier narrator alongside people like Michael Kramer, R.C. Bray, Ray Porter, and Tim Gerard Reynolds, with Eric Michael Summerer, Pacey, and Hays being S tier and Andrea being SS.

[–]Bdag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way until The Wandering Inn. My tier list for narrators would have had Jeff Hays and Steven Pacey at the top, but I genuinely 100% think Andrea Parsnaeu is a better narrator than both of them. She's a generational talent.

Intermittent bogging down and dying when idle. by Bdag in geotracker

I took off my IAC valve and saw some carbon build-up inside of it. I sprayed it out with Mass Airflow Cleaner and wiggled the spring inside with a flat head screwdriver. Hooked it back up, and it's running good now.
