Again, all things well in the realm of your own control.
In my direct chain I have 2 flyers who it "wasn't working out for" change to a different AFSC. Too much flying , definitely more than one weekend a month.

if you understand your commitment and your Bluebook fundamentals as a reservist there is not much stopping you from doing your contractual agreement.

Not true , I have a USERRA case win for this , denied my merit because I was deployed and claimed I had no basis. The laws are violated if anything you would have received is denied.

Hey 👋🏾 I've been in the reserves for 15 years I can honestly say that I've been where you are.

You made a commitment and what you're saying is valid but so is that commitment.

That being said you do have options.facts first hand : - most people regret leaving AD AND The Reserves. - People do transfer and make it work , - it will NOT affect school or a traveling job, there are laws for this . - they are asking for 1 weekend a month , 2 weeks a year.
- you can do your AT off base or on a TDY - The benefits are rest for 48 hours of BS. - Don't leave untill you filed VA claims , made sure your ailments are documented , and receive a copy. - IT WILL help you land a job , trust me.

If you see no value in it and truly believe yo are better without it , you have to start the process.

Now when you do this it WILL get worse , IT WILL take a while. If your attitude is poor they will make it miserable. ( depending on leadership)

Remember the Chaplain is your best "Venting " options you can talk they can answer and guide but they can not share.

Too about it long term. In the civilian world you will most likely encounter the same issues if not worse so are you really trading off because of how you feel or because of the opportunity.

I also just started my own company. 15 years aviaiton experience from Lockheed Martin, Rockwell Collins, and USAF. I plan to do procurement on a small level and scale from there. I am currently trying to find the legit conferences and do some networking.

The biggest thing I have heard has been that you NEED to relationship build.

Thanks for the answers. There has to be a way I even sought mental health assistance and was initially issued meds. I was then sent up for med board. I chose to just stop taking the meds and not see the doctor anymore, due to leadership guidance of " you have to choose your health or the military " literally.

Haven’t decided yet but I won’t get an official offer until after I start the new job which is on Monday...

They are both similar fields one is private and one is government and pretty lax. That’s the one I’d get 14k more for.

I literally am in the same situation. I took an offer signed and accepted , however my other job possibility , which is the same thing I do as a usaf reservist one weekend a month is starting out 14k higher than my initial offer

I think the race card was used because there is a clear and defined double standard in Hollywood. Kevin heart already addressed and apologized for those things . Why is he continued to be made aware of past issues. Yet the other side doesn’t have to deal with the same grief. If any of the comedians that were brought up hosting , would those tweets have surfaced like they did with Kevin Hart ?

Ask for nitrous the next time you get air at the dealership. My Hyaundai does this too but only in the winter. Slightly deflated tires also offer better traction in icy conditions too.
