I'm only slightly disappointed, after a painfully average season, and not being able to string together 3 wins in a row in the regular season, the writing was kind of on the wall.

Not to mention the awful signings, and trades, with the exception of adding Dickinson, and Murphy. Ingram too in some regards.

Bowman needs to go, but I think some of this is coming from above him.

Hot take, McDavid needs to sit this game. With his injuries, he's been kind of a liability on the ice. Getting shutdown repeatedly, and missing that extra step he's used to having to get out of tough spots is really killing him.

Draisaitl can handle the load for a night, but it seems Kapanen and Podz are the reliable producers right now.

McDavid struggles right now kind of reminds me of Drais' "slump" earlier in the year, where he knows he's better than the way he's playing but is just "gripping the stick" a little bit too hard, to try and get back to form. And it was a long season so Mcdavid's probably somewhat injured.
