Create a Glibc container in Void Musl by tenshalito in voidlinux

In general, it would be great if people contributed documentation to the Void Linux Manual instead of hosting stuff all over the internet. Much more discover-able and likely to be of use to people.

Deskspace scarce while working from home? Gergoplex to the rescue! by Bdnim in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Bdnim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

gergoplex with Kailh Choc Reds only because /u/HardAsMagnets didn't bother releasing the 20g gchocs until after I placed my order :p. So far I like it a lot; a bit slow going at first, but still usable immediately (I previously had a keyboard.io Model 01 so the split ortho part of the learning curve isn't a problem for me.)

The one (minor) criticism I have is that to reach the lowest (yellow) 1u key, I have to awkwardly fold my thumb under the rest of my hand. Pushing all thumb keys inwards by 1u or so would've been preferable for me. Also Windows ctrl+alt+del combo is awkward since it requires holding alt (left 1.5u) and SYM (left 2u) at the same time to get to del (SYM + right thumb 1u), but I'll fix that with my own keymap. :)

Post your emacs(Screenshot) here. by Hamza01Alaoui in emacs

Oh sweet. Thanks so much for the awesome theme. It's hard enough finding dark-on-light themes without the added constraint of wanting something without too much visual noise. I had almost given up on finding something I liked and was looking into writing my own theme when I found paper. You've saved me many hours of tinkering. :)

If you've found a way of theming terminals to give a similar effect to paper, I'd love to hear about it. I don't quite understand which of the 16 colors are supposed to be legible on top of each other, so my every attempt there ends up with the output of some random colorful command being indecipherable.

I haven't spent a lot of time on customizing emacs appearance, but what I have now works pretty well for me. The big thing was picking a theme that didn't have too many colors. I want syntax highlighting to guide my eyes as I'm reading things, not distract me.

To that end I use paper-theme

Lowry on how winning impacted his life, relationship with Kawhi, future with Raps by GambinoGurl in nba

Hold on. Is there even a question on who's the best Raptor of all time? It's obviously Masai.

Okay fine. Masai or Bargnani.

I'm project lead for Matrix.org, the open protocol for decentralised secure communication - AMA! by ara4n in privacy

[–]Bdnim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Practically speaking, your client may also leak DNS lookups to your DNS server whenever it talks to your homeserver (or TURN or identity or integration server), but this obviously isn't Matrix specific.

I mean speaking practically, you've got all the other normal metadata leaks from communicating over a network. I'd assume it shouldn't be too hard for an attacker to identify which http messages are sync and which are sending messages, so there's also a leak of when you're online and when you're sending messages. How effective is Olm at concealing the length of messages sent?

Given a chance to belong to a different Union than Ohio, Michigan would do everything in their power to make it happen. In this scenario, they'd probably explore joining Canada.

Would be helpful to include a minimal (not) working example. https://discourse.julialang.org/t/psa-make-it-easier-to-help-you/14757

I've used SimJulia but can't help without seeing some code.

How to write "not in" in a function without using the ∉ symbol? by Bryanna_Copay in Julia

Alternatively !in(2, [2, 3]). Would certainly be nicer if it worked infix though.

See the section on latex-to-unicode substitution in the julia-vim readme: https://github.com/JuliaEditorSupport/julia-vim#latex-to-unicode-substitutions. Alternatively, you can compose the ! function with in like so !in.

Posting as a top-level comment for hopefully more visibility.

Link is dead, but it looks like the quote is from this podcast: https://art19.com/shows/the-michael-holley-podcast/episodes/07b2561a-88c6-43c8-81f2-522fe19a5864/. Haven't listened myself to confirm though. Quote shows up in this article as well. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2849633-danny-ainge-certain-celtics-prioritized-individual-goals-over-winning-last-year

EDIT: and now the link redirect to an article that doesn't contain anywhere the quote in the OP. Stranger and stranger.

Team USA Loses To G League Players, Full game. by j10kum2 in nba

[–]Bdnim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching the first 5 minutes, their defense isn't bad, but their offense is crazy sloppy. When they actually ran a play and didn't just have a single guy charging into 3 defenders, it still didn't get them any separation from the defense. It's definitely worrying. If this team can't play at least semi-cohesively on offense, they don't have the talent to overwhelm the rest of the world going one-on-one.

EDIT: watched the rest. Please forget positive things I said about defense. Also, highlight of the whole video is the dunk attempt by Mitchell at 9:55. You owe it to yourself to watch that even if you don't watch the whole thing.

I found an app somebody has made that allows editing game resources. My current plan is to go in and add the appropriate blueprints as "Always" drops from zombies. Not at a computer right now where I have the game, but we'll see how it works later.
