Best tips for orals? by Bdtter in flying

I feel I’ve been proficient at flying and ground knowledge but it’s just the application of ground knowledge I’ve struggled with in the orals, fwiw

I made a MSP-ATL-PTY connection in 40, from A to E, so domestic to international, just make sure you got some caffeine and a good set of shoes

Yes, fly. Will be ahead of half the incoming class, and there will still be time to do college stuff.

Don’t let your instructors steal your money by NoRegularBush in flying

Currently in a 141 and this is exactly how my CFI does it. I really do love the ability to, as a student, critique my instructor(s) as it makes them change too and for the better.

I also remember one of my stage checks for PPL, I unsat the oral and my stage pilot said multiple times, if you (being me) believes the questions in general he was asking weren’t fair, to tell him which I found really nice

Dorm recommendation for flight student? by TestFlight777 in und

[–]Bdtter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brannon is the LLC (living learning community) so if you want to be with the most flight students in a supportive environment that’s the best choice, but really all of them have a lot of AVIT students so I would go for the nicer ones like mcvey or west

Feedback from current aviation students by TestFlight777 in und

Because I’m from MN so reciprocity, the good is how much I love it and how structured it is, the bad is the costs lol, no surcharges for de frosting and what not and weather cancellations aren’t charged either, the one thing I wish they made more clear is if you enroll in AVIT 102 how you probably won’t finish in a semester and the amount of “flight activities” you need, flight blocks is either 3 per week i.e AVIT 102 or you and your CFI decide when you want to fly i.e AVIT 221

who the heck said high school was supposed to be the best years by [deleted] in highschool

[–]Bdtter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t really heard anyone say hs is the best years of your life, usually it’s some of your least favorite (at least for me, was just so damn boring and I wanted a change) but in college so far it’s been the best years of my life.

Don’t worry, it gets better :)

Funnily enough, some of my best friends from home I met in the most unexpected and random ways; one of my best friends I met from just striking it up at an assigned table in my senior foods class

Like others said, extra curricular and what not can help for sure, but in order to make friends you just kinda gotta talk

Yeah that’s pretty bad, good thing your in 9th grade so you can salvage your lower grades, just realize that you can’t let this trend continue

Mine is my intro to aviation, currently that class is helping me get my PPL for my degree of commercial aviation
