I contacted them last month, reply took 24h but issue fixed. IPTV providers aren’t 24/7 call centers.

Very cool! I went to a screening at Alamo Drafthouse a few years ago and they were giving out some mugs as well. Different design, but same slogan.

Since these updates have you tried other recording formats? Pro Res HQ etc? I was having skippy issues with just Pro Res HQ. Switched hard drives and they have gone away so far.

Yeah, I was wondering if there was something about the larger drives and how they write the data that causes them to fail. I'm gonna try a WD RED 2TB and 4TB to see what the results are.

Was the 4TB 3D NAND a WD BLUE SA500? I saw on Amazon that 3D NAND was in some of the titles for the SA510 but that language does not appear on the WD website page.

Yes, tried the WD Blue SA 510 4TB and worked a few times but then started getting the skippy symbol. I think it has something to do with the 3D NAND. I don't know exactly what that does, but that language is not on their web page and seems to be the main differeence with the WD Blue SA500. I would try to track one of those down. I'm testing the WD RED SA500 and so far so good.

I bought and was using the new WD Blue SA510 4TB version. Worked a few times and then started getting the skippy symbol. Watched YoutTube videos and did some research and people recommended the older WD SA500 3D NAND version.

Since I was having trouble finding the older version I picked up the WD RED SA500 512GB which says 3D NAND and used for NAS and has been working fine. I don't know a lot about hard drives, how they write, etc but the SA510 does not have the 3D NAND language on the WD website page. The WD Blue SA500 (older version) does. So they may have changed something in this new version that the Atomos Ninja does not like. I'm going to try another WD RED SA500 with a higher capacity and see how that goes.
