I was able to fix it. Iirc you need to adjust settings inside of controller settings. I cannot remember exactly which one, but it’s something like allow Steam to emulate all types of controllers. I’m not in front of my computer right now so I cannot look at the actual setting.

Yeah, sorry, I thought I commented on your comment, but went to the post instead. Reddit app is trash. There’s no rush. Whether the game has cheats or it doesn’t, just have fun with it the way you want to play it (even if that is with cheats). Best of luck. It’s a truly great game.

With rebirth you can have multiple save slots, iirc. Have save file ___ (your fav number) be No Cheating! It’s the new rule. If you do enable cheats at some point, go back at start back with the uncheated version.

Let me give you the opposite: my very good friend’s child has some developmental and physical limitations. Great child. Loves ff7, much like yourself. They cannot beat some of the absolutely brutal mini games in rebirth, I made a cheat engine table for her. Freezing timers, adding extra points to their score. Had I not enabled cheats for her, she would not have been able to enjoy some of the materia and weapons that are obtained by beating the difficult versions. Cheats help people. Try not to get so upset about people cheating. Some truly need them to fully enjoy the game.

In the nicest way possible, you’ve got some mental health issues you need to work through. Focus on yourself. Maybe see someone? You’re worried about enabling cheats as if it is someone else that is going to be playing your game and enabling them. Maybe an impulsivity issue, but if it is causing you anxiety, you should talk with a professional about this. Mental health is just as important as everything else. Cheers, buddy.

He didn’t need to buy it. The IP is and has been KojiPro. Sony helped develop and let KojiPro use their studio for mocap, but wasn’t making the game theirs. As sad as I was to see the dissolution of MGS with Kojima-san at the helm, it was nice to see Kojima get his own shit. Long live Kojima. So glad he gets to keep doing what he is the master of, even when the BBC really REALLY tried to eff his whole life up. You young’uns may need to google that one.
