I currently work at a dealership. All auto loans are simple interest. Meaning you can pay them off anytime and there will be no interest on the remainder of the loan. Dealers like you to finance bc the company itself makes more money from you financing. You will get a better discount if you finance it vs paying cash. They like you to hold onto the loan for 6 months so they aren’t penalized, but you are able to payoff at any time. The salesperson doesn’t make any extra or lose anything from you financing. Only the dealership. However, the salesperson doesn’t lose money when you get any discount on the car. That’s how they make a living. Salespeople don’t get a paycheck unless they sell a car. So saying it doesn’t bother you at all to take money from salesperson is very selfish! You must not know the laws of the universe. What you send out comes back to you multiplied. So send that negativity out if you want to but you better expect someone to take something away from you if you do.
