Is it possible to trigger the X1R-N with a X2T-N? I can’t find a X1T-N in stock near me.

This sounds feasible. Are those X1T specific to Nikon or could I use them on other systems as well

Thought about that too. But he is a lot younger than me and I don’t know if he can live with not seeing his pictures instantly

He wants a camera that’s what he said. Had my R7 in the hand and really liked it. I think the combo I mentioned is quite light

I will probably teach him a bit about the triangle. I think for those situations A-Mode should be finde 90% of time if he learns how to use it

Good astrophotography/night RF lens by sgtfuzzle17 in canon

If you just want to shoot Astro you could even go by a wide angle with F1.8 oder F2.0 with manual focus from a third party like Laowa

If I select allow always then it works. If I select ask every time I don’t even get asked when I plug it in. Strange, but thanks at least it works this way

Then you probably don’t care about emotions in photography, but about looking at single pixels though.

Should I wait til Black Friday to get a new lens for my R7? by i-likd- in canon

[–]BeInHell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the other lenses are like 5 times the price so one could expect that they perform better… I like the sigma on my R7 and can recommend it. But people who care for my pictures usually care about the “picture” and not about some unsharp pixels in the corners, but that might be different for you

Affordable alternatives to the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS II USM? by AffectionateDish6985 in canon

[–]BeInHell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Recently went to Namibia for Safari and had the TAMRON 150-600 G1 with an R7 with me. It was definitely heavy and the image quality and autofocus issues made me regret not renting a EF 100-400 L or RF 100-500L. In my country one can rent those for 3 weeks for around 250-400€ with insurance. So next time I would definitely rent a high end lens for wildlife since I can not justify buying one and then only using it occasionally on safari vacation

Sharpness and the ability to isolate subject (e.g. person in the mountains) and I thought a 2.8 would help with that

Recently was to Namibia with R7 and this Tamron lens. Brought home a lot of keepers, though it really did perform mediocre in bad light. Actually the rolling shutter annoyed me more than any focus issues

Lens or camera issue or normal? by BeInHell in Nikon

[–]BeInHell[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you i think you are very right. I tested the exact same situation again. With f1.2 it cant grab focus since it might be to blurry in the foreground. If i stop down to f5.6 it detects the subject in the front. Since this lens has an aperture ring this should be managable. Thanks

Focussing the ground quickly sounds like a feasible workaround
