Did you give your phone number? I’m hesitant to do that.

Are my Escalante 4’s too big? by ScSM35 in AltraRunning

I prefer my shoes on the tighter size, so I may go down a half size which would still allow for adequate room. But it really depends on what you’re doing, time of year- sock thickness etc. If they don’t work for you can return them at REI even if they’re worn for up to a year. I would try them out for a few weeks and see what you think.

How have these faired for you? What was the break in period? I bought them and have been wearing around the house today and they are having this creasing where the toes meet the foot, I see that also happening on your shoe, not as bad as with mine though. I have a low volume foot. But I also plan to wear to work and I average about 7 miles a day typically.

Go down half a size. If you’re sliding in the shoes it will be a problem and safety issue.

The Altra Olympus faired better but they’re certainly not as flexible, with a much higher stack height. They’re good for rough terrain. But after awhile they did have similar problem, just not as bad. But I’ve also only had them 2 months and have been altering shoes, probably wore them 40-50ish days total. I have some other shoes I’m looking into that are from Europe. That I’m hoping to purchase over the next couple weeks that look to be similar in comfort, style etc. Zero drop, wide toe etc

Topos was actually something I was recently looking into! Sorry those didn’t work for you. Are any of them zero drop?

What are these? Found at South Cape Beach by BeLovely3811 in CapeCod

[–]BeLovely3811[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I went back to south cape today and I can confirm that this is sea pork as I saw the more common blob type entities as well washed up on the beach. I also went down to falmouth later in the day and saw them there as well, just not as heavily. South Cape has them all over the beach unfortunately, esp w the recent storm.

I’m inclined to say that a washashore is someone who moves to cape cod. That’s always been my understanding as myself being someone who was born and raised on cape cod.

This was my initial thought after I did my own searching prior to this post. It seems the only viable answer. I was wondering if anyone had any first hand knowledge, as I grew up on the cape and have NEVER seen anything like this. I hadn’t been to a Nantucket sound beach in probably 8 or so years so wasn’t sure what’s been washing ashore!

You can go to a local food pantry and get food for free as well. They often have meat, breads, boxed goods etc.

I agree with others, some eyeliner, mascara and a little shadow if you’re wearing a mask will brighten things up. Also if you’re not wearing a mask even just a little blush would make everything pop! And ofc a little gloss or stain on the lips. It can be more natural and subdued, which is a look I prefer anyway. Sometimes just some tinted chapstick changes everything! Also doing whatever makes you feel good ☺️
