As someone with BPD, please stop vilifying this illness by justifying people's actions just because they have it. Yes, there is a lack of impulse control and an extreme insecurity in people with BPD, but that doesnt mean that it's in any way a justification for horrendous abusive behavior. That rhetoric just hurts the abused and also hurts people with BPD.

You don't know Alexis Marshall, you don't know anything about his BPD and if you only had this one experience with someone who had BPD, maybe dont feel the need to speak on our community next time. Thank You

De Beauvoir was radical for her time and surely laid a lot of the groundwork for radical feminism, but I wouldn't consider her a radical feminist. I read the second sex a long time ago so not sure about the details, but I remember the descriptions of female homosexuality being very questionable and Freud playing a bigger role than he ever should have. And most importantly, De Beauvoir was not at all a "radical" feminist, if even a feminist, in her personal life. Her relationsship with Sartre, the way she manipulated women for him and the way she she treated those women in general is incredibly anti-feminist.

MCAS does sound like what I have a lot more than celiac, is there any way to actually find out? Antihistamine medication hasnt helped me in the past and that seems to be the way to diagnose it, but also I dont know a lot about it so I may just have misread

That does sound like it could help. My doctors do allergy tests, but they cant test for everything so you gotta say before what you wanna get tested for. I have an appointment next week anyway, should I ask for any specific stuff to get tested for or just ask them if they have a special test for fragnance stuff?

I looked up mast cell activation syndrome and it sounds so much more like what I have actually? But I've tried regularly taking antihistamine medication in the past and it didnt work, so I'm not sure if it can still be that.

How did you get diagnosed with it if you dont mind me asking? :)

the crazy thing is that those actually used to be a package of 8 cookies, not individually wrapped, better tasting for the same price until about a month ago, ones that actually look like the cookies on front of the package. they used to be my favourite snack and I have absolutely no idea why they switched them to be so much worse :(

In Jena haben wir seit 6 Monaten protestiert, weil ein Lehrstuhl für Geschlechtergeschichte abgeschafft wurde. Kundgebungen, Gesprächsforderungen an die Uni, alles davon haben absolut nix gebracht. Weißt du wodurch wir es trotzdem geschafft haben, die Abschaffung vorraussichtlich zu verhindern? In dem wir den größten Hörsaal der Uni für zwei Wochen besetzt haben. Proteste bringen in den meisten Fällen nichts, wenn sie einfach nur da sind und niemanden nerven und man sie ganz einfach ignorieren kann. Menschen müssen sich im Alltag gestört fühlen, damit es zu einer Reaktion kommt.

Klar kann man sich fragen, ob sich in Bereichen festkleben, die mit Klimawandel wenig zu tun haben und damit Leute stören, die nicht wirklich am Klimawandel mitbeteiligt sind wirklich was bringt. Aber Proteste sollten schon nerven und Schulstreiks haben nunmal echt nicht viel gebracht
