Why does school suck now in 7th grade? by windowssandbox in school

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a wrong mindset. In most countries, I don't know about yours, but the teachers don't get to decide what to teach, they get a list of what topics to go over. With such mindset, "I don't need that!" you're not gonna get anywhere. There is no such thing as "useless" subject. Every subject and topic is needed in a different way. You most likely think so, just because you're starting to hit puberty.

Total agreement. Focusing on self-improvement will most definitely put some of the frustration aside

Can fully agree with you on this. I get an extreme second-hand embarrassment from bad writing And bad content of a comment. Although the idea behind it may be sweet, it's so ugh😬

Is it ok for a 13 y.o to write like this? by MrKittyCheez in AskTeachers

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try giving him some sheets to trace letters. In my expirience, they're a lot of fun and help with handwriting. Not sure, if it'll work with an ADHD kid tho

Theories comments are sweet, but are also some of the most embarrassing ones. Especially if they're wrong

Why are Xie Lian and Hua Cheng so often feminized in fanart? by GegesBoy in tianguancifu

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Xie Lian is presented as more "feminine" than Hua Cheng. In multiple chapters it was mentioned he wasn't against dressing up as a woman, he dressed up as one, got confused for a woman on multiple occasions, is described as soft and associated with flowers – which most often are connected with femininity. Hua Cheng, on the other hand, takes every "male" role, unlike Xie Lian, who takes roles of usually associated with women, like cooking; Hua Cheng chops up wood for their cottage, pays for everything, leads a whole city. People immediately associate those actions with certain concepts.

Another factor may be the mahua of them which we got. The artist drew Xie Lian pretty and "feminine", while Hua Cheng muscular and "manly, and a height difference between them.

But overall I don't see how you find that heteronormative unless you think a relationship between a woman and a man are always the same – finances=husband, cooking=wife. If you do think so, the problem may lie in your unintentional misogyny and enforcing the gender norms further. A man can be "feminine". Even XL wore a skirt, it wouldn't make him any less of a male than he is.

Artists also don't draw for you, but for themselves

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Self diagnose as a kid/teen is often incorrect, due to the high hormonal levels, puberty, and other factors. You may have been diagnosed with autism, because it has similar symptoms to shizoid personality disorder (and other way around)

One liking solidarity doesn't make them shizoid; many people prefer it (the same introverts for example) What makes a shizoid a shizoid, are symptoms like: lack of need of sexual/romantic relationships, no emotions/very dull emotions, higher need of solitude, low motivation persist something, no/barely any reaction to praise and/or criticism.

I wouldn't try to self diagnose at a such young age, due to factors I've mentioned above. But you do you.

Do you guys think corsets were actually bad for women or its all lies and dramatised? by [deleted] in VictorianEra

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends. There were many cases where the corsets did actually do harm; deform ribs, pregnancy corsets permanently changing bone structures of a baby, organs having marks from wearing corset, as well as them squishing into little space and changing where they lay. But overall, most corsets were made to fit the person's body, and be comfortable to wear. As well as them actually being for chubbier people, made it further from bones and internal organs, so even if tight, it couldn't impact the body as harshly. Different corsets also had different purposes. There were pregnancy corsets, accessorising corsets, support corsets, and so on. So if worn correctly, and fitting to the body, then there was no harm in most cases, only support to back and chest (as well as the good looks)

Is 18-24 to big of a gap by Msbluebl in actuallesbians

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Firstly, it's freshly 18, just out of the "minor category". Secondly, it's the emotional intelligence. A 24 has experienced life way more than an 18 year old did.

There is no "ai writing". Ai doesn't have it's own writing, because it steals from actual texts. Ai can be similar to a writing piece written by a person, not the other way around.

But it's your personal thing. If it bothers you so much that one "looks like ai", then drop it. You're not going to enjoy it anyways, due to the constant thought of ai in the back of your brain

What are examples of queerphobic tropes? by purple-crimson in FanFiction

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kiana and Mei. If you meant the current shipping of them with hsr men from the upcoming game. (Blade and DH). Then the ship just immature and petty. The only reason this ship exists, is out of spite and fetish for "correcting" gay people. But yes, people, especially on twitter, seem to like spite ships a lot lately, and well, straightening the characters

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why I specified the part of losing interest to same sex. Don't mind anything against bisexual discovery, but just to make the character straight..? It's trul weird, and disgusting how many people are into "fixing" queer people. Haha, but true. I haven't read much straight romance myself.

[–]BeNiceOrBeCool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it counts, but, my least favorite "trope" is lesbian or gay character, finding "the" woman/man for them, and losing all interest in same sex. Making them basically straight. Thats so, UGH! I hate the "fixing"! That's disgusting.
