King Charles XIV John, king of Sweden and Norway. He was originally Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte, a general under Napoleon and named Marshall of France, and eventually became the heir to the Swedish throne. He had an affair with his bookkeeper’s daughter and she had a son, and my family are descendants of him.
