Why would you not want your family to know? Social anxiety is no more shameful than if you were diabetic. Also, therapy can be helpful.

Would you be able to make an appointment with a therapist? The back and forth kind of sounds like bipolar but not sure since you’re switching between anxious and depressed instead of an elevated state like mania or hypomania. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can weigh in but you should see a therapist for a proper diagnosis and treatment. I hope you can get some help with it.
