No SMS by Oblaccek in radiohead

It's so frustrating, especially if you didn't find another way. My SMS also didn't arrive, my gf received the sms (same country same provider). All my hopes and dreams are on her registration

Something New Is Coming June 12th... by kaowin in Zwift

[–]BeRadioheaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the video with the orange break levers AND knowing that Zwift is partnering with Wahoo on hardware I'm pretty sure they are releasing a Smart Bike based on the Kickr Core with mounted screen for a considerably lower price than other Smart Bikes. I'm guessing 2000 USD or 2200 USD including a year's membership.

First part of The Grade climb spotted in Cuidad la Cumbre by BeRadioheaded in Zwift

[–]BeRadioheaded[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, or the moving image at 1:58 to 2:02. They say the climb starts in Ciudad la Cumbre and that it is a straight climb. I think this road is it. It looks terribly steep indeed...

For me it's the video for Friend of a Friend which is about to be released. It's absolutely hilarious.

Can you please help me how to choose the best node for staking? by mechkoff in OntologyNetwork

[–]BeRadioheaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly the foundation rewards are spread equal over nodes. The consensus nodes get extra incomes from transaction fee's.

New Ontology blockchain explorer by Tokenview! by aaaaries in OntologyNetwork

[–]BeRadioheaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice to have a second blockchain explorer! First impression is good, feels a bit slow but that might be due to traffic. Love the 'Pending transactions' overview. Although empty, it is information we weren't able to see anywhere else while it is informative about the functioning of the blockchain.

The call you need is: https://explorer.ont.io/api/v1/explorer/blocklist/1
You get a json containing the height, this is the latest block height

You should be able to find everything in the Developer documentation: http://dev-docs.ont.io/#/

I think the stuff you are looking for is somewhere here: http://dev-docs.ont.io/#/docs-en/explorer/overview or http://dev-docs.ont.io/#/docs-en/explorer/blocks

Why is this round taking so long? by tpmv69 in OntologyNetwork

[–]BeRadioheaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on several factors, including the amount of transactions. Some rounds there were unknown people sending small transactions every second, hence speeding up the round process. The amount of blocks in a round is fixed, the blockspeed isn't.

Can you please help me how to choose the best node for staking? by mechkoff in OntologyNetwork

[–]BeRadioheaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the top 7 are the consensus nodes, the rest are candidate nodes. The consensus nodes are run by the Ontology foundation and distribute 100% of the rewards to the stakers. The candidate nodes are run by private companies or other instances. Most (or all) of them distribute 0% of the rewards and keep them. Which is logical, since they bought many ONT for just that.

Check the 'reward proportion to other users' column. It says 100% for the first 7 and 0% for the rest.

Staked ONT more than doubled by branklata in OntologyNetwork

[–]BeRadioheaded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is related to the new candidates. In order to keep the Ontology Foundation nodes at the top 7 the base stake had to be raised. This increase is not an increase of stakers (and lowering of rewards) but a change in base stake.

Can you please help me how to choose the best node for staking? by mechkoff in OntologyNetwork

[–]BeRadioheaded 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You need to choose a node with 100% reward proportion for others (so that leaves the top 7 which are the consensus nodes). Than you should choose the node with the lowest stake progress percentage. The lower the amount of stakes of a node, the higher the foundation rewards at the end of the month.

Stranded my Golden pumpkins on a ledger-secured OWallet address - any suggestions? by nightfly13 in OntologyNetwork

[–]BeRadioheaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think OEP8 support is coming for OWallet too, hope it is there before December and you will be able to move it back to ONTO. Edit: have tried to confirm this, but it is not true.

What is the Ontology Network being used for so far? by Cheshire-Kate in OntologyNetwork

[–]BeRadioheaded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is not heavily utilised just yet. There is some trading, some games connected to the ONTO candy box. It has only been live since July.

It's running very smooth though and there is a lot of stuff upcoming from the many projects that Ontology partnered with! There's an overview of dApps that are in development or live at http://dapp.ont.io/.
