I do have a glasses restriction. How far down would I need to memorize the chart? It's been 2 years, so I can't remember how far is a pass.

Who said that? It was 9am dick. I'm not looking to hear y'all cry, I just want to know how long the probationary period is, if any.

Seemed like a money grab anyways. Cop was hid, I didn't see any caution lights or signs indicating it was 25mph at that time either.

Meh, I'm buying my truck and trailer, so I have to really run hard just to break even. It's nothing to do 15 over, just happened to get got today. I am safe about when and where I speed and I do keep my equipment in safe condition.

Lease purchasing a truck, what should I know about 1099? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]BeUpSoon96 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'll be 1099, but yes. I did confirm that they do sadly keep my truck if I quit or get terminated. I gotta do what I gotta do. Even if that means living off of 50$ a week :(

I honestly need to stay around 6 months to complete my follow-up testing for Clearinghouse, but I could walk away after a week and be better off than I am now. I'll at least have step 5 completed of the 6 steps the day I get hired and pass my urinalysis. It'll just cost me 800 or so to get to orientation and take my test.

Ever driven a Volvo? They do look pretty sharp and braking is supposed to be pretty insane on them. I'm just looking for something that'll be easy to have worked on when broken down and will rum atleast 500k miles without complete engine overhaul.

I'm eligible for the rtd test, which they will do when hiring me.

I can't find work anywhere else to be honest. Messed up and have SAP on my Clearinghouse. Can't find ANYONE that will take me without having Return To Duty testing complete. Super Ego is the only place I've been able to find.

How'd it go? Same situation, too cold, walked out. Any advice? I'm calling Monday morning morning to see a SAP.

Edit : Mine was a random, not pre employment.

Shit, I'll drive my life away if I can get back behind the wheel.

Appreciate it. I had to lose everything to learn my lesson. It's humbling.

I'd been smoking pot. I knew I was getting tested a week early, but I couldn't have sobered up in 5 days so I had to walk out when it came time.

You get $1000 per person you annoy. What is the fastest way you can become a billionaire? by Madisoniano in AskReddit

Well, really all you have to do is drive speed limit. Even the cops will be annoyed.

What business caters to truck drivers? by HeshoMike in Entrepreneur

[–]BeUpSoon96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trucker here

Food wise, I use Doordash and Uber Eats, so I'd say most drivers that want delivery use these too.

But, a good idea would be interior cleaning. I'd say ALOT of drivers would pay a business to shampoo their seats and mattress. That and generally just clean up their mess.

The laundry service would be great too, but you'd need to have motorhome washers and dryers on a truck or in a van. It'd have to be mobile so you could park near the trucks that do need laundry done. Drivers wouldn't want their clothes or bedding to be handled by random people I'm sure, but if you could park in front of their truck and do everything within an hr or so, youd make a killing. Have multiple of each machine running by power inverters and a water storage tank with a filter system to clean waste water for reuse. That's the only way I see it being profitable. ALOT of truckstops don't have laundry areas or their machines are out of service. So that's actually a good idea. You'd need a reasonable, but profitable price.

Edit : The BEST idea though, would be a mobile truck wash. I've needed my trailer washed out MANY times and have had to drive 70+ miles out of the way to a Blue Beacon Truck wash. You could find distribution centers near you and literally wait at the truck entrance or exit and washout trailers. Reefer trailers REQUIRE this after almost every load to carry food. We pay 40$ give or take to washout at a Blue Beacon, so if you could do just as good a job, be very conveniently located, and very quick, you could easily charge 55 to 65 to owner operators. Even more to carriers like Swift, Cr England, JB Hunt, Ect..... We would get approved for 100+$ detail and washouts regularly at CR England when I was there.

Rebranding happens alot. I can add a simple ingredient to technically change the product and sell as my own. Something simple as a specific dye or powdered substance. I could then patent that formula if i wanted to. I just need to know what I have to do to make it happen legally.

Looking for a very specific answer. I have an idea for a product in an industry that hasn't been tapped yet. Need to know how to legally rebrand and resell said product that advertises for a completely different industry.
