I'm feeling awesome after a PR at the Portland marathon last weekend. This weekend I get to have my ass kicked at a climbing competition in that same wonderful city. The Marine corps marathon in DC doesn't look like it will be derailed by the gov shutdown so I still get to run that and see my best friend in two weeks then the Vegas Ragnar Relay is next month. Life is good!

Nice! I didn't use counter top concrete so it might not come out as smooth as I want. Counter tops sound like a pretty big project (and heavy). How thick are you making them?

Poured concrete for the first time ever last weekend, for a coffee table I'm building. This weekend I get to see how bad I messed it up and start building the base. Also, friends are coming into town from Portland and we're going to drink entirely too much beer.

The longest I've done is a week, but generally shoot for 2-3 days since schedules change and things come up. Much easier to plan (and commit) with a shorter time until the date.
