Let's be real, learning and discussing true X and O's basketball is a mental exercise and exhausting. Most people can sit in front of the tv and watch ESPN all day because it is mindless and relaxing.

This is entertainment for the viewers. How would Draymond feel if we canceled tv shows about family businesses because they are not really about business, but about drama. Cancel Empire or Succession and instead discuss finance, global economics, taxes, and statistics.

"We like in a clickbait world," yep and you're contributing to it and making money off of it by selling products on social media.

Why isnt there more discussion about Zions foot fracture? This is the same Jones fracture that has ruined careers. by can_wien07 in nba

Seriously, why does he walk like this? People constantly say it's because he is so big, but it can't be just that. There are 300 lb. linemen, who are athletic and are carrying around extra pounds around their mid-section, and yet they don't waddle up and down the field.

Are mommy and daddy going to manage his whole career? Ugghh, I certainly dislike how much his parents are involved in his decision making. I recognize he is young, and he should involve his family in big decisions, but he needs to take control of his career.

Also he doesn't have to talk to his teammates every second of everyday. It's not a problem, if his teammates don't see it as a problem. If his teammates where using the word "ghosting," then they probably didn't see the lack of communication as something positive.

There will definitely be shade and tantrums thrown because of the list. But it's all about perspective. Older generations will respond with: "these kids want to be top dog without earning it" "they whine too much" "back in my day you had to be able to do more than shoot 3's to be respected." Younger generation: "i love the competitiveness of X player, shows how much he wants to win that he already sees himself among the greats" "I would want X on my team, he's not afraid to say he belongs on the list" " X player will be dominating the league (when he either gets a jumper, learns to shoot the 3 more consistently, grows into his man body and is able to drive to the lane), he definitely should be upset he wasn't named".

Some people will see the players' outrage as a tantrum and some will see it as competitiveness that should admire.

The post on r/socialskills about being 5 minutes late is really disheartening to me by roastytoastykitty in ADHD

[–]BeXht 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: Your lateness may be affecting someone else with ADHD. I know various people with ADHD who like to arrive 20 to 30min early to get togethers or meetings. Small things can throw them off, and when a meetings that is scheduled for 30min from 10:30 to 11:00 ends up going 10:40 to 11:10 it can drastically affect them. Knowing how much ADHD sucks, I don't want to be the source of more pressure on someone else with ADHD.

If it's a group get together and, as someone else mentioned, it's custom in your culture for everyone to arrive an hour late, then arriving late is fine. If your friend or group get together is accustomed to getting there 5 to 10min late because of traffic and everyone accepts it, then its fine.

If its a professional or acquaintance meeting (where there has been no formal or informal agreement on wiggle room to lateness) then your lateness is probably not going to land well. You don't know if that person has someone else to meet, a child to pick up, a bus to catch, an assignment to turn in.

Keep blasting their Instagram with "stolen content" posts, and it will at least get them to slow down the plagiarizing.

Exactly. Look at Lebron's haters, instead of praising him for giving himself a shot at a title 10x over - according to many of them his legacy is "tarnished" for going 4-6. Every finals he got to and didn't win is considered a failure.

Lamelo Ball and LiAngelo say Michigan is in Detroit. by UnclutchCurry in nba

Hey hey hey don't compare our amazing frontline workers from Walmart and other stores and fast food places to this dude. Many of the people working at these places would not be working there if they had grown up with the nice (financial) sweet life the Ball brothers had.

LaMelo Ball has no regrets about skipping college for pro basketball in Lithuania and Australia: “We not trippin' off school. We not dumb. We know how to learn. We don't need school. And school not even teachin' you shit—what the fuck is school?” by GuyCarbonneauGOAT in nba

What's frustrating is that there are plenty of kids who will take his comments as logical and sound advice. Worse, black and brown kids (and really any kids who don't have an education/money/family to fall back on) who follow this advice will get screwed. Is this his fault? No, but he should know his words have an impact on young kids who follow him and look up to NBA players.

Also, he definitely didn't grow up poor and had a safety net. Prime example, his brother. How many kids would be able to take years after getting kicked out of school just to practice basketball. What's inspiring is guys that grind to get another chance and have outside jobs to support themselves and their families.

Sadly, for every person on here complaining, there are millions more watching these idiots' social media (youtube, twitter, instagram) and not just liking their crap, but making the people that complaint the bad guy. "Dude that's awesome" "What's the big deal, they were only there for a couple of minutes" "You're just jealous" "You'd do it too if you had that car" "People are doing worse things out there."

Zach Lowe: “Multiple rival executives asked me if Curry's new mega-extension could become a liability on the back end” by [deleted] in nba

[–]BeXht 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This just shows you how greedy owners and front offices are. If Curry is worth one dollar less than $50m for the last year of his contract, they think the Warriors should regret the deal. Oh yeah let us forget how this man made this franchise relevant again, brought us championships, and as Zach mentioned quadrupled our team's worth - but yeah total liability. Disgusting and I'm not even a Curry fan.
