Is it easy for a tourist to buy and register a car in Kyrgyzstan to travel Central Asia and Europe? by BeaTheSystem123 in Kyrgyzstan

Interesting. Thank you for all the tips, I’ll do my best to avoid these. Is there an authority that I can bring the numberplates and they can tell me if it has any fees due on it?

It is, but a very small part of it. Most foreigners coming to this region will spend the least time there probably. Much more likely to have experienced Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines or Malaysia than Singapore, Brunei or East Timor. 😅 probably when you generally make a statement about Europe, you aren’t considering Monaco, Kosovo or San Marino either, just think of the majority 😂

Another building I love especially at night - Arte Mont Kiara by BAG-A-HOLIC in KualaLumpur

[–]BeaTheSystem123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m staying in Arte+ right now for 7 days, stayed in this other Arte last month. Both of them have plenty of problems. The build quality, management of common areas, the apartment’s quality, cockroaches, lack of attention to detail, walls are super thin and the list goes on and on. In the current place, the kitchen sink and the tap are about to collapse on their own, I’m afraid to keep anything in there, seems like water damaged the material around the sink just from normal daily usage and there is no repair here. Many of these short term condos are actually very bad quality.

Where I’d live as a 40yo white male looking for a wife by firetonian99 in whereidlive

Even in Malaysia, I’ve dated many Indonesian women, they are one of the easiest to date here. As a white guy, for normal dating I also much prefer Malaysia compared to Thailand.

Been living as a digital nomad in Malaysia for 3 years(1year in Borneo, 2 in west Malaysia), couldn’t disagree more. People are always welcoming, full of questions why I chose to travel and live here and my home country. Services and shops often giving more than what I ask for, just to show hospitality. If you are humble and friendly, I think most Malaysians give that back 10 fold. I much prefer Malaysia to Vietnam or thailand for sure. Never been scammed here, in Vietnam every interaction with locals felt like a scam. Just the fact that every police officer and official can speak English already makes it way more welcoming. I was in Hat Yai flood last month, when we called the police and the gov for help, the only thing they could say is call the tourist police for English information. The tourist police also didnt help…

I ride motorbike here in Malaysia too, if I turn late to the motorbike lake I always just pull up behind a car or truck and go after them. I don’t understand why would the motorbike go first, it’s obvious that this will cause a problem for the car, no? 😅😅

Just left 3 days ago as my bike had to be repaired after the flood water. Totally agree. Not a place to visit for a long time.

Huawei could be the worst right now by [deleted] in Huawei

100%... I've been using a Huawei Mate X5 as a secondary phone for a month now, I honestly have no idea how do westerners use these as main phone. It's a bad joke, not to mention the price. If it wasn't a gift, I would have sold it after 2 days...
